I assumed that they were all on pallets until Louisville, so the scan is just the pallet getting scanned- it would be much more efficient than scanning each individual phone!

That could be true but again.. Are we sure they scanned each phone to know which is on which pallet lol..

Just talked with the same guy from UPS chat:

He told me my phone would be delivered today (yesterday) but just told me what he sees is that my phone hasn't made it to the U.S.

I then asked him where did he get the information yesterday that my phone would be delivered today (Wednesday) .. He said that is the information we had but apple updated us that all phones should be delivered by end of day on Friday...

Bigfoot, unicorns, ufos, and alien type stuff here guys...

They wanted to know the Shipper's name, and I'm like this is an iPhone that's getting shipped from somewhere in China, and you can't tell me anymore info that's on your website. Seriously, it looks like mine went back to the factory 2 days ago....or I could be reading it totally wrong??? Stupid riots...or maybe defective damaged goods? I dunno

Off of Backorder

Ordered 2 iPhone 5 64gb blacks on Sept 14th from the ATT site @ 5:30 PM Eastern. Received the standard 14-21 business day email.

Both phones came off of backorder sometime last night. I have yet to receive any emails about shipping or anything else. Delivery will be to Austin, TX.

Anyone charged $36 dollar upgrade fee from AT&T ?? I've never had to pay a fee to upgrade if I was eligible for an upgrade.. I've had the iPhone 4 since the day before it was launched...


And on top of that.. I'm charged an upgrade fee even before I have the phone lol..

Anyone know if they changed their upgrade fee policy?

There's a forums somewhere on this site that deals with it. Basically you can get on ATT chat and tell them you want the upgrade fee taken off your bill. Most times you can get it done as a one time courtesy.

I'm not sure if they changed it but I definitely got hit for the upgrade fees before they even shipped my phone. AT&T doesn't play, I do remember being charged $18 to upgrade in the past I thought the $36 was steep.

Well I ordered black 32GB around 4.45AM EST on 09/21 and I still havent received mine yet.
UPS tracking was showing Delivery of 09/25 EOD yesterday and today it is showing 09/26 EOD. UPS is saying that they looked for the package physically and they are unable to find it.
When I called apple, they told me that UPS delivery location has not received the package yet and will be getting it today or tomorrow and they told me that I'll have it by 09/27 (which was the date on the email that I received from Apple).
So I am planning to wait until then and if I do not receive it by tomorrow, I'll take the next steps. I was so frustrated yesterday that I almost cancelled the order and called the store to check if they had any in store. But they did not, so I kept my order.

Funny yes MY black arrived yesterday and her white hasn't moved in 3 days ... Perhaps there is a quaiity control issue and they halted that shipment ... Which would be good in the long run I guess but sure would enjoy a bit of info about it !!!!

Unfortunately, I'm also with this group that is languishing in Incheon since 9/25 at 8:30 PM. I'm so hopeful that it will depart on the UPS flight 61 departing at 9:55 PM (30 minutes from now). I also fell into the Expedited ship group. I suspect the others that arrived in Korea at 8:30 PM and have already made it to Louisville may have been in the Express group. UPS tracking still shows delivery by EOD 9/27 but I'm not sure how the weather issues in Louisville could impact this schedule.

Keep hope alive that there will be ANY movement soon!!!!

Still no change for me...I am either STILL in Korea, or UPS has completely dropped the ball on tracking. I am a glass half-full guy, so I am going with the latter.

that's crazy wasn't there an issue with the white iphones before? I remember something to that effect, but my husband has his white one already and has been doing the happy dance since picking it up last night.

Looks like it won't even make Apple's promised delivery of Friday. Never seen this happen before. So it WAS really stuck in China for 4 days.
