what does that mean? of course it shipped it made to China it's in a box it has a tracking number, delivery being scheduled does that mean it's stateside?

Ouch. So I'm really disappointed now. UPS had a delivery date set for delivery tomorrow, and now I wake up to this...

Looks like it won't even make Apple's promised delivery of Friday. Never seen this happen before. So it WAS really stuck in China for 4 days.

Anyone else?

Yep same exactly thing here ... Damaged maybe missing maybe .... No clue

BJB...I must be on the same flight cause mine just updated as well. Keep in mind that the time is local and 12 hrs+ EST. So that was shipped early this morning.

I can breathe a little better now.

What's weird is that we didn't actually get an actual departure scan. Making me a little worried.

that's what freaks me out, mine just updated to the same thing, but STILL in China, so how exactly is delivery being scheduled and for when? they removed my EOD of tomorrow and Friday doesn't even show up.

this is the strangest shipment ever.

I got the update that mine would be delivered on Thursday 9/27, no one will be home on that day so I used UPS MyChoice and had them hold it so I can pick it up. Said I could pick it up on Friday 9/28.

Now everybody's getting bumped up to 9/26 for delivery...guess I should have waited. Well maybe I can pick it up at UPS on Thursday.

This will be my first new iPhone since getting my 3G on Launch day in 2008.

Yeah, we're both in the exact same situation along with I think quite a few others. I also had my EOD for tomorrow and Friday was what Apple said, both of which have been removed. I suppose it might arrive Oct 5th after all.

....If there's anything inside the box... uhh. :(

What's weird is that we didn't actually get an actual departure scan. Making me a little worried.

Flightaware is showing two flights departing VHHH for PANC today, one scheduled for 7:15 pm and the other for 9:15 pm. It is now 10:08 PM there and it hasn't shown either as departed. Either flightaware isn't getting updates until they planes are in international airspace, or the first flight is 3 hours late and the second is an hour late. If flights aren't leaving hong kong for some reason.... no departure scan.

On the other hand UPS's tracking system seems to have completely **** itself over the volume from iphone shipments. I don't trust much of what it tells me, and from what I've seen here, the reps don't seem to be able to do any better.

All of that being said, my phone is in that batch and I seem to always get the one that has to sit for three or four days at every stop. Sorry for all of you that got bundled with my shipment ;)

I am kind of pissed that all those people that ordered late in the day already have their phones... not to mention my wife's -- ordered three minutes after mine -- is out for delivery now.

Severe Weather

Hoping this sever weather in Kentucky passes quickly so they can resume cargo operations. Also, I hope they kept all those pretty iPhone packages covered in the rain. It would suck to have a legitimate "watergate" on our hands!

So I missed my delivery yesterday because my phone magically teleported from Louisville to a suburb in Chicago in record time. However, I pre-signed for delivery and I'll have my phone today!

question is your IN TRANSIT on the tracking page showing bright red?

I have close to the same thing. I'm not really sure what it all means...but my delivery date is staying firm at October 1.

Those flights could be delayed due to a number of reasons. You may want to check what's sitting offshore... :(

If you are really OCD like I am, go to Flightaware and track the UPS flights coming out of HK

Mine still says 9/27 EOD Delivery and has

ZhengZhou, China 09/23/2012 7:35 P.M. Arrival Scan

No other updates, I just wish I knew what was going on

and the saga continues...

This was my last tracking before going to bed at 12am EST this morning:

I03r

So after seemingly being stuck in Korea for 48 hours, I wake up to this!

OMxe

Come on UPS!! What is the deal?! So my 2 packages left their place of origin, went to Korea, went back to China and then back to Korea again?

My only hope is this: "Forwarded to the facility in the destination city."

Anyone know what this means? All of this tracking insanity would require a masters in rocket science to understand, but to me, this means that it may be at its destination location? Anyone else have this on their tracking and/or received an explanation from UPS?

This is why I'm a glass half empty guy

Sigh, so the 'My UPS' email showing delivery 9/26 was not for my phone, but something my wife had ordered with my name as the ship to... And the UPS track site which showed a delivery of 9/27 now shows no delivery date, and the status went crazy:

Looks like my phone spent about 4 days getting out of China. I am guessing that the Apple email committing 9/27 is probably a FAIL.... Aargh.

Am wondering if 'Forwarded to the facility in the destination city' part of the status means anything other than standard routing... (pleez oh pleez)

you've copied my UPS update exactly, we are iPhone buddies and I'm thinking we need to stage a breakout at this point!

Hey, man, I feel your pain (sadly). And technically the glass is always full, half water, half air... :)

But am also pinning my hopes on that 'destination city' clause, though am not overly optimistic given the issues UPS has had over the past few days... I guess they probably hired some of those part time NFL referees for this.

So I'll join iFiend in asking if anyone knows what that indicates?
