Pretty sure this is the case. Travel continues on Sunday but I'm not sure about scanning in and moving forward. Even if it does happen on Sundays, they probably get started late.
 
Ordered black 16gb at 10 am et on the 14th, originally scheduled to be delivered by Oct 5. Looks like I should have it early next week.

Premier was all kinds of messed up on preorder day. It wouldn't let me do anything even later in the morning. Ultimately wish I'd gone in line, but as things were I'm glad I did apple.com.
 
I am so glad I was able to just walk in an Apple Store and grab the iPhone 5 I wanted so I could cancel my Oct.5th preorder. I had visited this thread far far too often before I did. To those of you still waiting Godspeed! To those still in processing and have access to an Apple Store give them a shot if you get a chance.

You know though, we are assuming that because it was departure scanned at 8:30PM AKDT in Alaska it got on flight UPS63. It could have gotten on 51 or 77 which would mean it arrived more recently and would take a while to update.

So this throws the "they ship by size" idea out the window. Mine is a 32GB and it's still preparing for shipment.
 
I ordered on 9/14 at 6:45 am EST, black 32 GB AT&T. At the time I ordered it said "ships 2 weeks". The afternoon of launch day I decided to go to the Apple Store and see what was left, and as I left I checked and saw that I had gone to Prepared to Shipping, so no luck (I also found out our Apple Store only had a couple of Sprint and Verizon phones left; no AT&T). I have had no progress until this morning when I was finally able to look up my UPS tracking by reference, and a couple of hours later got the shipped email from Apple, with delivery on 9/28.

This is what my UPS tracking currently says (UPS Worldwide Expedited, shipping to East Coast):

It has been 24 hours and nothing has changed from the above.

No change from pending to actual charge on the card.
Nothing on the support profile.
Nothing on UPS "track by telephone number"

It's really not a huge deal as I saw the October 5 delivery before I completed the purchase. At issue is, I would never have guessed that I would have been able to breeze into the Apple store and walk out with an iPhone 5.

The most difficult part, however, is watching people that have sneered at me over the years about being 100% Macintosh since 1985 waving their shiny new iPhones all over the place while I'm waiting for who knows what.

Nothing showing on apple.com this morning before I left Dallas. On the road, I received a shipping notification. It is in ZhengZhou, China and was shipped UPS Worldwide Expedited. Apple expects delivery on Friday, September 28. UPS hasn't determined a delivery date as of yet. I'd really appreciate September 27, but anything beats October 5.

Thank you all for posting your order progress. It has made it easier to understand what is happening.
