I tried tracking by my phone number as a reference and got something new today. No tracking info showed up, but the screen said "not all tracking information is available at this time."
It normally just tells me that no package could be found under my reference. I figure my phone's shipment has begun

Yea, I've been "preparing for shipment" for 37 hours. I hate this. I ordered at 5am EST from NJ and I see so many people who ordered after me getting their phones. How do they decide who gets it when? It makes NO sense! And now it's Sunday, so I don't expect a shipping update till tomorrow :-( I really wanted to get mine on Friday being it's the only day when I will be home. I'll have to pick it up from the ups or fed ex office that are both two hours away from me.
I hate Apple so much right now.
From reading these forums I believe they start with the highest gb models and work their way down...why? Who knows but that is whats concluded
Same here. Been a full 24 hours now that its been sitting there. I take it you have Expedited and not Express? I have expedited.
Mine now has shipped, says International Expedited, doesn't give me a delivery date, but assuming it's the 28th.

Missing launch day is kinda sad this round as I've always found a way until this time. EST 6:00 am Friday order on preorder and happy that there's a jet sitting on the runway waiting for my lil guy.
I have double expedited super shipping service but unfortunately my iPhone is also on double secret probation.
Hope it ships within 48 hours and this week is a good one for many.

Mine has the same exact same tracking info as yours, and my shipment e-mail from apple says the 28th for delivery so I would assume it's the same for you.

Ordered two iPhones a 16GB Black and a 32GB Black.
I ordered the 32GB first and then the 16GB about 5 minutes later around 5:30AM..
The 16GB shipped out last night and no word on the 32GB (that was ordered for me)

Thanks so much. My Apple order status still says "Preparing for shipment" and I have received no emails from Apple nor has the phone appeared on my support page and my card still shows a "temporary authorization". This should give some hope to the others stuck in that limbo
I don't know how they figure it. But it probably ends up only making a difference of one day. Why some orders got preferential treatment is a mystery to me. Meanwhile, mine too is a 64 gig version and it's still sitting in China..Hasn't moved at all.

I'm a 64gb with the same info. Still sitting in China. Ordered @6:24am on the 14 th.
Got an email from Verizon confirming my email address this morning so I guess that's progress.
At least most have shipped now. Mine left Hong Kong at 4pm HK time.
Delivery type says 2 business days, so i'm expecting tuesday.
At least its not oct 5 anymore and if it was still processing i'd be mad but now, any of us that have at least shipped and aren't getting it Oct 5 should be happy.

Mine was like this for quite some time too. Then I got an email from Apple that my order was placed on hold because there was a pending order on my Verizon Wireless account. I had to call VW and have the pending order removed before Apple could clear my phone for shipping. So if you have any type of pending order on your phone account you might want to call and have it cancelled just in case.
