iPhone 5 Available to ship:2 weeks / Delivers Oct 5

Probably Apple finding any means possible to deliver these units. I'm not happy at all either. I ordered early and the most expensive iPhone and then I got the [slower] expedited shipping.

It's so expedited, it's been sitting at ZhengZhou for the last 30+ hours.

Well you have to remember that yesterday in ZhengZhou was Sunday, shipments aren't made on Sundays. Be happy that yours sent out at all, I ordered at 5AM EST (2 hours after preorders began) and mine has been "preparing to ship" for 50+ hours and there is no shipping info on it. Be happy that yours is at least on it's way to you. I'll probably be getting mine Oct 5th at this rate.

If i do not see any movement out of KY tonight i will not sleep!!!! Ill just do push ups all night long and when the phone comes ill take a picture of my overnight brollic chest.

Shipments are made on Sundays. Read the past ten pages of this thread. lol. Deliveries; however, are not.

Mind if I ask where you came by that info? I've got the same 4:46PM departure note and its been way too long for it to have not reached another spot by now.

Have you tried google'ing it? That's what I did: https://www.google.com/search?q=flight+track+ups+china+iphone

After sifting through the results, I found the flight and put it in FlightTrack on my current iPhone to get the arrival time.

UPS probably hasn't updated the site, or your device was removed to be transferred to another flight that hasn't departed -- regardless, it'll arrive eventually -- just try to be patient ;)

At least yours is already in Kentucky. Mine is one of those still sitting in China.

Apologies - my patience has sort of been blasted by this experience. I was up at the magic hour for all this but couldn't put in my order for a while as I didn't know that apple.com couldn't handle 2 phones on one order with VZ. By the time I gave up and did just mine it was past the wave 1 window. Then the 'shame' got piled on as my wife's phone ordered through VZ later in the AM that day was delivered on 9/21. Lastly finding out the Apple stores still have stock after the rush on Friday just as my order got locked for processing has sort of left me a little less patient than I need to be.

Here's looking forward to later in the week when all of this becomes an amusing anecdote.....

Im getting so bored I'm just trying to figure out when it'll be here by calculation time on UPS. Its like doing rocket science. Need a quantum computer for this problem.

If my order still hasn't left China by tomorrow I'm just going to go to the store and get one, then return the one on order when it decides to show up. I'll pay full price and get back the difference when the ordered one comes.

Still sitting in ZhengZhou...

Does anyone know if the flight that departed hong kong at 8:30pm on 9/23 ever landed ? Thank you

No one is sure what flight# this flight was because there weren't really any flights from HK to AK on UPS planes. If the flight did go to Anchorage, it landed at around 3 PM Alaska time today. However, I am starting to think that this plane may have taken a direct route to the lower 48. UPS tracking has never been delayed for me, which makes me think that this flight may have been direct - maybe to California or something.

Also, this theory makes sense considering that the route taken for the first flights (leaving Sept. 16 to be delivered on the 21st) may have been longer. There was no rush for the packages to be delivered, because UPS knew these packages were going to be held anyways. So maybe they took their time and took a longer route.

This theory may be way off, but the fact that UPS hasn't updated tracking is making me think that maybe this flight is direct and not stopping in Alaska. But who knows, we have no type of flight information...

No, it crashed, unfortunately.

since that is just hilarious, right?

Arrival: Los Angeles International Airport (KLAX) at 4:19

Edit: Oh, and those times are AM

From Oct 5th --> Sept 28th

Just wanted to add the following.

My estimate delivery date has just been changed from Oct 5 to Sept 28th. :)

I'm in Orange County, CA.

Just in case those who also got the Oct 5th delivery date, you may still have hope. (Believe me, I've been checking the status every minute.)

Latest activity:
ZhengZhou, China 09/23/2012 7:35 P.M. Arrival Scan

Well...I guess it sucks to be me right now. I don't see any future flights from Louisville to anywhere in New York or Newark till like Tuesday or maybe Wednesday.

No problem... Not sure where you're located, but I was bummed to see that mine just departed from NY. That means it flew all the way across the continent from Anchorage, and now it has to fly all the way back to Seattle. Usually, Seattle is the first stop for flights out of Anchorage.

My hopes for a Monday delivery just went from 'maybe' to 'not-likely' :( If there aren't any other stops, that would put the flight here around 4am. In the past I've noticed trucks are loaded for deliveries between 5am & 6am -- not enough time...

If you're on the east coast, or even somewhere relatively close by air, you may have better luck :D

Personally, I'm looking forward to deleting the link to this forum topic.

Hong Kong has a lot of cargo class planes returning to the airport from Anchorage. They aren't UPS planes but are most likely the planes used to transport our iPhones from Hong Kong into the US. Hopefully we can expect a mass ship out tomorrow or Tuesday at the latest.

I ordered a 16 black AT&T around 1:15 on Friday. Apple has not emailed me or changed my October 5th shipping status but I have been charged and ups shows me in ZengZhou since 7:45 pm yesterday. Crossing my fingers for it shipping out while I sleep tonight and getting conformation in the morning. I am doing a snoopy dance as we speak.
