iPhone 5 Available to ship:2 weeks / Delivers Oct 5

Departed - Hapeville, GA, United States, Monday, 09/24/2012.

Apple says delivery 9/28, UPS has no date. Assuming it will be earlier than that, can't imagine it takes a week to go from Georgia to Minnesota.

The rep told me that UPS has undertaken certain operational changes due to the volume Apple is pushing that is resulting in the tracking fragments. I'm guessing from that and other comments made here that they are using other carriers and so on. She said that they are trying to target the first deliveries of this second wave for tomorrow 9/25 but no guarantee on that at this point. All she could say is keep checking your tracking. You'll know when you're getting close when you see your local station pick it up on arrival - once there it will be back to normal UPS tracking.

Anyone that left Hapeville, GA at 7:00 AM this morning get an update yet on UPS? That is only like a 40 minute flight to Louisville. Don't know what is taking so long.... customs maybe?? It should have been there at 8 AM EST... Maybe its going somewhere else?

Is anyone still in 'Preparing for Shipment" ?

I've been like this since Saturday and it still hasn't shipped out. I spoke with an Apple rep and he told me that if on Saturday it did appear like this, then the device will be shipped at some point this week, they're just looking for a carrier to get the device to me. I should expect a deliver of either this week or next week.
 
I'd really like to get mine tomorrow.....

I'm still stuck in preparing for shipment. Changed around 2 PM central on Saturday and card was also charged. Nothing showing up in UPS yet.

My Apple email says the 27th. I just went on the UPS site and triggered a hold so I can pick up my package (I'll be at work during delivery time) and it says the package should be available for pickup on Tuesday (tomorrow).

Still no updates on tracking.

That's around the time for me actually because it changed 3PM Saturday. Given what happened in the factory, I hope that doesn't stop us getting our devices.
 
Agh woke up to no surprise. Well Im seeing a UPS flight from Louisville to Newark later at 5:34. Hopefully most of us on the upper east coast will get some good luck

UPS employee.: I am terribly sorry, do to the large volume of Iphones included on this second deployment we are unable to obtain a delivery date at this time, however we are expected to get the delivery date updated by tomorrow.

My 16 gb black iPhone was on that same flight but mine needs to make its way to California. Maybe they haven't broken then up yet....
 
I know a handful of people who were able to walk into the Apple store Friday and get a phone with no issues. Good thing we "Pre-Ordered" eh?
 
I have one iphone (ordered from apple at 1:30 pst) on the flight to anchorage now. my other iphone (ordered from apple at 1:57 pst) is still processing. My wife is going to be a sad panda when her phone is a week later than mine. I don't understand why hers hasn't even gone to preparing for shipment yet. They charged my card for hers on saturday evening.
 
I can go to the Apple store less than a mile from my house and get a phone.

The problem is that I'll pay full retail price for it on a brand new contract.
