mine delivers tomorrow. i think i may have them deliver to a UPS store. Its worth the 5 bucks to not have to take a day off of work. My old UPS guy used to deliver around 6pm, this new guy is willy nilly and it can come anywhere between 9 and 5

Do you have an Oct 1st delivery date from Apple? I am hoping it's wrong and the phone will arrive Friday/Saturday. I won't be home Monday-Saturday of next week cause of work/school. My Friday class was canceled for this week, so that would be perfect.

My delivery date is Sept. 28th. I'm on the east coast - Long Island in NY. My shipping says UPS Worldwide Expedited

If i don't see or hear ZhengZhou, China for the rest of my life it will be too soon.

Looks like mine is on the same shipment as yours, my departure scan is just a few minutes ealier. Does it really seem possible for these to make it accross the ocean, through customs, to the final distribution point and on the truck for delivery in 24 hours after sitting in China for 2 days? Guess I should put the presign form on the door tomorrow just in case.

I hope so! It's been in the air for a little over 3 hours now, so that should give it quite a bit of time to get processed in Louisville today.

FYI, if you sign up for UPS's My Choice (free), you can pre-authorize the release of the shipment (just below the green "In Transit" bar in the upper left corner of the tracking page. No paper to mess with/coordinate that way.

With regard to: Did any of the 7:35pm ZhengZhou folks figure out what the real deal is?

Spoke to someone at UPS earlier today. Apparently the phones are Stateside (maybe in Alaska?) the tracking system isn't real time so what is showing on the website is obviously not updated.

I've seen a number of folks in that 7:35pm arrival talk about emails from My UPS notifying of arrival, but the UPS site for my shipment still is stuck on 'ready for ups'? Hoping someone can actually confirm what the actual status is.... Will touch base with UPS myself in a bit (when I talked to them yesterday they told me it would be cleared up by the 25th, guess not....)

I'm still wishing I hadn't preordered. My AT&T store still has stock!! I was there yesterday about something unrelated and asked about trading my wife's phone for higher capacity when it arrived. He said they had plenty of 64GB in stock. Never. Preorder. Again.

I did the online chat, he said they had a update today and that we would recieve a delivery date today.

I asked what the update was and after my 3rd request he said that he could only confirm that the item had not left China !

I am hoping he is wrong or that it's one heck of a direct flight to make my 9/28 apple confirmation
