Mine still shows in China but UPS my choice alerted me that it is due to be delivered tomorrow. Since I'll be at work I scheduled for it to be held at the UPS facility that is about a mile from my work. I'll pick it up at 8am. Wow. The end is in sight.

Both UPS and FedEx would show it "held for pickup" on your tracking (or something along those lines). In my area, FedEx requires one delivery attempt before they will reroute to one of their pickup locations so that's typically a one-day delay. UPS does not.

Mine just shows "destination scan" but the UPS rep I just had a chat with said it is available for pickup today and then pasted the times my location was open. On their website where they define all of the statuses one of them is "held for pickup" and my package does not have this status. I'm not sure if I should wait or pick it up.

I'm also part of the 9/23 7:35PM ZhengZhou group. UPS tracking shows departure scan on 9/25 at 5:16 from ZhengZhou. I received the email alert from UPS Choice that delivery is scheduled by 9/26 by end of the day. I had UPS Worldwide Expedited and it's coming to Sacramento, CA. I wish I knew the routing it's taking to the States. I've seen Hong Kong to Anchorage to Louisville and also Korea to Anchorage to Louisville and even one that went to JFK then Louisville. It makes you think they're subcontracting out some air services to get them to the States quicker.

Given all of the delays I've read in some of the postings, I'm questioning that it's going to make it to the States, clear customs and transit to my regional center to make it on a truck for delivery tomorrow.

I'm trying to keep hope alive!!!!! I need to play with my new device.

I am signed up with UPS' "My Choice" program and get emails the day before packages are scheduled to show up. Although there is no delievery date when I look at the tracking info on the UPS website, I received an email from them this morning saying it is due to be delivered tomorrow (in Texas, ordered a 32GB black around 5:00am CST on the 14th):

I guess I will be on the same plane as you all as well. Woke up this morning to a text message from UPS saying my shipment will be delivered tomorrow by end of day. Checked my shipping status on UPS, said package departed ZhengZhou at 5:16 pm.

Not getting my hopes up too much for tomorrow delivery since it still has a looooong way to go, but definitely hopeful I will receive it before my original Oct 5th and later updated Sep 28th delivery dates!

Great, thanks for the info on My Choice. I did sign up for it but don't see the option to pre-authorize the release yet. I'll check again later. I hope we do see them show up tomorrow. BTW - mine is also 32gb Black.

I was actually able to do mine a few days ago... FYI, it was NOT an option located in the buttons ("Change Delivery", "Request Status Update", etc), but actually to the left of those underneath "Last Location"

Lots of stuff happened overnight and now it's out for delivery today! Apple quoted me 9/28 when it shipped out so this is a nice surprise... only 4 days after launch, perhaps I shouldn't have grumbled so much about preordering...

Nice. Wish I had been lucky enough for mine to hop on a plane to my town this morning since I was on that same Louisville flight. Doesn't make sense either as one left around 6:30am too. Oh well at least I should have it by tomorrow. Congrats to you

Looks like changing the delivery destination to a UPS store was a really bad idea. They put it on a truck for delivery, took it back, and are rerouting to a different truck apparently.

I have to say, I haven't been arguing for or against Apple regarding the whole pre-order/out of stock/processing/preparing for shipment debate in this thread, but this is kind of crappy for the people still stuck "Preparing" or whatever else:

9to5Mac reports that Apple is planning to launch Personal Pickup for new iPhone 5 orders starting tonight at 10:00 PM Eastern. The program allows users to place and pay for orders online in advance and then pick up their items at an Apple retail store.
Customers can use the Apple Store App or website between 10PM-4AM nightly to pre-purchase available iPhone 5 inventory for the next day.

I've seen a number of folks in that 7:35pm arrival talk about emails from My UPS notifying of arrival, but the UPS site for my shipment still is stuck on 'ready for ups'? Hoping someone can actually confirm what the actual status is.... Will touch base with UPS myself in a bit (when I talked to them yesterday they told me it would be cleared up by the 25th, guess not....)

Any details on the batch that arrived in Louisville at 12:41 am this morning?..any chance it comes today 9/25 or most likely tomorrow 9/26?

It'll take a day or so to get through Customs then it'll take the next flight to your local air hub and then be driven to your local distribution center and then to you. I'd say the 27th or 28th.

People in that batch left a day after those who have "Out for Delivery" today. As long as there's no hangup with customs I'd imagine they'd be hopping on flights tonight/early tomorrow morning to be at local distribution centers in time to be on trucks for delivery tomorrow. At least that's what I'm hoping

I had it happen just now, but it's my fault...I changed the shipping to go to a local UPS store and it rerouted everything. EDIT: That's just on one phone, it was supposed to be a delivery today but I'm guessing the reroute exception will screw it up and it won't arrive until tomorrow.

Meanwhile, my other phone departed Newark at 9:30PM last night and 12 hours later hasn't arrived anywhere. I miss Fedex.
