it has something to do with "Express" & "Expidited" packages. how apple determined that is beyond me?
Agreed w/ the Apple statement. I wish I'd at least have some special consideration after buying the 64GB model...
Kind of like buying the top of the line car but I have to pay the extra $120 for the floor mats.
Was the same thing with my wife's. I ordered mine at 3:30am Central and hers around 10:30am Central.
Hers got here today and mine should be here tomorrow.
So, it looks like one of my phones would have gotten to me today had I not changed delivery to a UPS Store. Now it's tomorrow.

Yeah, no rhyme or reason seemingly. I had a 04:10 EDT order that I cancelled and then re placed an order at about noon, and I am getting my phone today. I've seen people with earlier orders who say they aren't getting them till next week.
Mine is a black 32GB ATT model. Not sure if that matters or not.
I'm in the group that got scanned upon arriving in Louisville this morning at 12:41am. I chatted with UPS online this morning to ask for a delivery date and they said 9/26 by end of day (tomorrow). Now it's updated to show 9/27 by end of day. That's a little disappointing if true, but I find it hard to believe that it's going to sit in Louisville for 48+ hours. Still holding out hope for delivery tomorrow.
Man, I really thought that it would have moved/updated by now. It's been three days stuck in that status. I"m really hoping it just hasn't updated.
Again, though, Apple says it will be delivered Friday, the 28th and I 100% have faith it will be delivered on time.
UPDATE: Even though there's been no status update on UPS, it literally JUST updated on UPS's website and now says the 27th for delivery! One day early!
Just spoke to UPS customer service also im in the 1241 batch too , shes saying FRIDAY for me , but said possible its earlier because our batch is still waiting to clear security in louisville for over 12 hours now
Pretty much the same thing here. I ordered my 32gb Black ATT and a 16gb Black ATT around 3:30am, my wife decided she wanted a White model. So I canceled her order for the 16gb Black and placed a new order for a 16gb White around 10:30am.

Based on looking at flightaware and other forum members' tracking, I hope that my 2 iPhone 5's were on the same flight to Alaska, and then on to Kentucky. I got an update from UPS that it should arrive on 9/27 as well.
Here's to hoping I have it sooner

Yeah, I guess I got caught up in the hype of people talking about getting theirs today despite getting updates, thinking at the very least it will definitely be here tomorrow. But now it's saying Thursday. Oh well, for all the judgment I've had of other people complaining about how long it's taking to get theirs, I guess I can wait an extra day. Here's to hoping it comes tomorrow anyway.

There are a bunch of us with the same info. Mine says the samething with enroute to Louisville, KY. Hoping for Thursday or Friday delivery.
I was told by UPS that if it were Express, I'd get it by Friday 10:30am. If it were expedited, I'd get it on Oct 2nd, Tuesday.
Online, my UPS info says it is UPS worldwide expedited, which means it should come the 2nd.
Apple's email to me says it delivers the 1st.
Someone from UPS who I spoke to yesterday said it would come on Friday.

Yes, mine also says Oct 1st delivery. On packagemapping.com it shows a direct shot from China to KY.
