Its not hard for iPhone to score nicely when iOS is such a primitive mobile OS. Add the fact that it doesnt have multitasking and theres no reason for it to score low.

Disable all your background tasks, remove all widgets getting on the iPhones level and then post your results.

I'm pretty sure this is what they do when they run the scores.

This entire thread is utterly ridiculous.

Just to clarify - the Samsung Galaxy S3 is available in two configurations:

1GB RAM - quad core (sold outside the US)
2GB RAM - dual core (sold only in the US)

Yeah, but what I meant is that it's insignificant that the iPhone 5 momentarily has a better processor than an older phone. Nothing really exciting here.

Of course the iPhone is faster. Android apps are Java. Java is always slower than native code (and while some of you will argue that Objective-C runs on top of a virtual machine, it is much closer to native code than Java).

No, Objective-C does not run "on top of a virtual machine".
