Wait. iPad Nano?!?! :D

lol. yeah man... people the 90s/80s and before were all lonely losers who didn't have any friends.

business? what business do you do which requires a mobile phone? unless you have a low-grade job which requires on-call immediate start working conditions to keep a paycheck, you don't.

As a marketer for UMG, and on contract for Polydor, and AVEX. NO executive will text message you anything, and anywhere you go, one of the first things which are said is "put your phone on silent or get out".

It seems to me, all these "social things" for "friends" don't actually go anywhere and sit on FB and text message each other what they ate for lunch

The jealousy is strong with this one...

Wow. Good to see you have your finger on the pulse of the contemporary business world. You're right. Nobody needs these new-fangled "tella-fonz" if they have a good job. Only janitors and fire fighters need phones.

to all those complaining about the tapered design...maybe you should try the actual product once it comes out. apple would not release something that is awkward to hold.

and at any rate, apple will sell millions of these because its an apple product. remember what everyone was saying about the iPhone 4?

i remember comments of "eww ugly...etc" and yet now everyone says they love it.

lets reserve judgement for when the product is released.

really? janitors and fire fighters? both are generally set-hours and you seriously think a fire-fighter uses a mobile phone to be alerted about fires to attack or the other things they do?

on-call work is like F&B attendants/kitchen hands who work crap hours (albeit good pay). Factory workers, construction workers or self-employed low qualified electricians etc who work out of their car doing dodgy work for low-income households.

edit: the only industry in the world which has an upperhand on the mobile phone world, of taking something consumers didn't need and turning into a false necessity is the bottled water market. even the cosmetics and beauty markets are below the mobile phones and water markets. although they deserve it, because they gain by hurting people

Agreed. I was one of those haters. :D

I call fake. iPhone will be same form factor with different internals, thats my 2 cents :)

This tapered thing will be for iPod Touch, or something non Apple at all.

If these all stem from a single fake leak, somebody is laughing!

But the simpler explanation: the tapered design is real.

I kind of hope not, though: I sure like setting my iPhone flat on the table and being able to type at any orientation.

The leaks are turning into a flood! Here's to five or six more weeks of fun and excitement.

May as well open a sub-forum for all the folks that will be complaining of too much iPhone news and that "the site is called MacRumors, so post news about Macs even though there isn't any."

Slight tapering? Please say it ain't so. Can't be good for landscape use.

Exactly. It would feel a little awkward in your hand, but if you were to lay the device on a flat surface while watching a video it'd look even worse.

Not unusably bad, but bad enough that Jobs would have smacked some engineer upside the head for not thinking that design through.

I really hope this is just a rumour; but it's looking less likely. :(

Please let there be a T-Mobile version, so I can dump my expensive-izon, and join back in on my family's family-plan. I also would like to buy both my parent's new iPhones!

One that works with T-Mob's 3G, not an unlocked version that leaves me with EDGE.

Call this the iPhone Air?
