go on ebay, type in clear iphone 5 case. I just ordered a $5 tpu clear case to get me by until the desmay comes out.

icemanchanx - The case is a frosted TPU. So it's flexible but not as flexible as a regular silicone would be. So I guess it would be a smooth, but flexible. It doesn't get stuck in my pocket, nor does lint stick onto it.

The bad thing about that is they all come from Hong Kong or China and will take about 2 weeks to arrive, and by that time you'll probably decide on something better.

If you know of some US seller that offers them cheap let me know.

I was hoping to find some nice cases on Amazon that are eligible for Prime shipping so I could get it soon, but no luck. All of the nice cases aren't eligible and the ones that are, are ugly.
 
I just went with this listing on eBay and it's the closest thing I could get to the Griffin Reveal case.

For about $8, free shipping from the USA. I think it's an OK temporarily case for maybe a month or so to get the manufacturers to catch up on some cool new designs.

I think I'll order a cheap screen protector as well.

CaseCrown Bonbons Glider Case

I purchased a CaseCrown Bonbons Glider Case from eBay, its like a slider case and is pretty thin for $16.00 shipped. If I had only checked here first I would have used that discount code though...bah!

Expensive yes, but the build quality is better than any case I've had (and I'm the guy who buys a dozen cases just to find the right one). Besides, I am getting the 64 Gb iPhone off contract. So it's $150 to protect my $900+ investment.

Anybody ordered from spigen? I ordered the Steinheil Oleophobic on the 15th. It says 'On Hold'. If it's not shipped today, no idea if it's gonna make it Friday then... :(
 
just got my Otterbox Defender around 1pm


Less bulky than the 4s version, sleeker. Honestly feels like a commuter with a screen protector. It'll do until the lifeproof comes out..

leather doesnt feel cheap or look like it'll warp after the first time using the phone. happy they also did away with the way they opened the button doors and such. I remember the ones on my 4s would end up crappy and never closing, this one feels make of better quality.

I guess it depends on how you take care of the phone. Mine still looks fine (there are a couple small scratches) after a year of service. But I always have my phone in my pocket so it's not likely to get scratched up as bad as if you had it on a desk or sliding around in a car.

Question:

when I click the link, some of the cases have covered the side buttons, where as the black and clear cases seem to not have covers over the side buttons.

Am I just not seeing it correctly?

i noticed the same. the colored ones look like they have coverage all the way around and the black and clear look to have no protection on the top and bottom as well as the button cut out area
