nice but this rubber padding looks awkward and cheap in those prototypes imho.
Yeah my thoughts too, maybe if the edges of the rubber were rounded. I'm sure they would do something about it before launch

This iPhone 5 Kickstarter is brilliant! Love the solid steel design. Pity it won't be shipped until march.

Alexandre, we're part of the official Apple process. That means we'll be buying our Lightning component from Apple, not a third party.
Like all other accessory makers, we're dependent on Apple providing us production quantities of the new Lightning pin, so ultimately our timeline is dictated by Apple. We have carefully studied all the recent requirements Apple has announced for iPhone 5 charging docks, and ensured Dock+ meets the demanding specifications. And we'll do our best be one of the first to submit our product plan to Apple in hopes of a quick approval.
That said, the process Apple has designed to launch iPhone 5 charging docks is a new process. They are very busy certifying companies to become official manufacturing licensees. Although we expect to be through the process by end of year, there's a risk that this will take longer than expected.
$45 for hardwood with no back support, seems reasonable to me for a very nice looking stand.
I put up a quick review in this thread and I agree with the other reviewer. It's a pretty good dock, the only complaint is, the phone stands straight up and doesn't curve backwards, which makes accessing the phone while docked not as comfortable as it should be.
They just e-mailed me this though as a solution!
At Braeburn Acoustics we pride ourselves in a user experience that delivers uncompromising value.
We understand that Research and Development doesn't end when the product ships. Because we want to enhance the usability of your Braeburn, we have paid careful attention to some recent feedback regarding the angle at which the iPhone 5 sits when docked.
Because we designed the Braeburn family to be extensible, we are proud to announce that for those customers who want their Braeburn to "lean back", we will happily provide some threaded mounting feet which will allow the front of the unit to sit higher than the back, accomplishing a 3-6 degree angle.
Going forward, units that ship will feature the front mounting feet.

Thanks for posting this.
I also ordered this dock and received it yesterday. For the price I think it meets my needs for now. I also didn't like the way the iPhone sits straight up and I actully put my own feet on it, two in the front that are taller and two smaller ones in the back so it angles back a bit. (Little rubber bumpers actually). I just emailed them to send me the feet you are talking about.
I think the dock price is equal to its quality. Some docks are a lot fancier but the price reflects that. I need several docks around the house for all of our iPhones so this meets that need because of the price. I also very much like the way it handles the sound so it's not muffled when docked and actually makes alert sound LOUDER!
All in all like I said, I think the price is very in tune with the quality and I got it so fast after ordering that I am happy now. I hated my iPhone just sitting around on my nightstand with just a cord attached that would fall back behind my nightstand after disconnected and I had to put a weight on the cable to keep it from falling.
Thanks for the post!
P.S. Just as I am posting this I already got an email back from them telling me my feet are on the way. KEWL!
No problem. I really do like the dock. They did warn me by placing the feet on it, it won't adhere to the desk as nicely, thus pulling the phone off with one hand might be a challenge. I pull my phone off the dock at least 10-15 times a day, I type or use it while docked much less, so if given the choice, I might not even use the feet. By the way, the tape they use to secure the dock to a desk is a special kind of tape that can be moved without damaging the tape or the furniture. That is pretty sweet. I think the quality and functionality of this dock is really worth th price, especially compared to what else is out there now.
Do you happen to know the name of the tape? I bought a different dock that should come sometime this week or next week, and I may need to find a way to adhere it to my desk.
I just placed an order for a black aluminum lightning dock w/ a back. It will hopefully be here in a couple of weeks. If it works well, I'm gonna order another for my computer for syncing since wi-fi is complete garbage with iOS6 now. For some reason my computer always looses my iPhone causing me to restart iTunes to find it.
Ordered this one from amazon and modified it. Works great.
Braeburn dock is ok. As others said it comes with sticky tape but I used Velcro tape to secure. Wish it didn't sit so upright. Also, when you have the cable installed the cable has an unnatural bend to it in order to get the cable to clear the back slot.
Do you mean it bends the cable in a way that seems like it would eventually damage it?
Ordered this one from amazon and modified it. Works great.
anyone received the Shenit Charging Dock?
