humm.. for me....
1. a6 is dual core....s3 w/ quad will hit europe in a few month im sure north america will follow. cpu should be quad for the price of iphone
2. ram is still low..c'mon..for iphone..ram should be 2g (it will be good for the jailbreakers)
3. no mirco sd slot.....what is this crap on 8/16/32.really..get with the time.
4. battery..*sigh* u know..apple might as well have the charging core combine with the phone..at least it will be easier and don't have to carry the cord around.
5. no nfc..don't really care about this..
now currently i have 3gs..this will be an upgrade for me...but after playing around w so many 4s and android...i really have to think if i should cont to stick w apple.
1. I actually have a Galaxy S III, I live in Sweden and it has quadcore been out for months. The performance is good if you compare it to Android, but honestly iPhone 4 FEELS quicker not to mention 4S. Quadcore doesn't do a lot as of right now, almost no Android app even uses it. Though to be fair I've only had the Galaxy S III for a week and a half, but I have used it a lot during that time since my job is selling phones.
2. More RAM would always be nice, but how is that really necessary on iOS? On Android, sure... But on iOS that doesn't even have true multitasking, even the 512 MB 4S has feels fine. And I don't think Apple has jailbreakers in mind when deciding how much RAM to put in.
3. Micro-SD, you can forget about hoping for this one ever. Maybe they'll get a regular size SD card slot on the iPad but that would be strictly for importing photos or something like that. iOS doesn't handle files the way a Mac/Windows/Android etc handles them, so you can't have SD, it would complicate things for the OS.
4. Batterylife is always an issue, I'm not even happy with it on the Galaxy S III which has a relatively big battery (2100 mAh). So yeah I'll give you this one, I long for the days when a smartphone will last more than a day even during heavy use...
5. NFC would be cool, but no practical real use as of right now, other than what Samsung has done with S Beam. So I'm not sure this is an issue for anyone really...
Overall I'm pretty pleased with how the product turned out, not sure if they could've done it so much better. I'm bound to be using my Galaxy S III for 3 months every day at work because I got it from Samsung but after that I think I'll switch back to my iPhone 4S and since my contract doesn't end for another year I'll try to do my best to not buy this even though I'm a sucker for new tech.
I do like the screen on the Galaxy S III, I mean the size. Regarding screen technology I think IPS is much nicer than Super AMOLED for a few reasons. But screen size wise I actually got used to the 4,8" relatively quickly and at first I was afraid that it would feel too big, but it's actally quite nice.
But I think why Apple doesn't do them bigger is probably because I'm not the target market being a tech savvy male 25 years old. I'd bet there are more female iPhone owners than male...
