Can you post some nice pics of the chamferd edges and the back? a lot of the review models were black. it would be much appreciated

ohhh...sexy times!!

Honestly, it's the perfect amount... For now. 100 apps total, and that's after I've gone through them all and deleted the ones I don't use. I keep all the games that I like because more than likely ill get bored and I don't want my smartphone to have no games on it, I want a variety to play when I'm bored. All the other apps are also apps I used depending on what I'm doing, for example the Photography folder on my home screen has all my apps related to taking pictures/video, editing them, and then sharing them. Same with my other folders. And they are definitely still growing. iOS really does have the best apps.

Ok here we go!

Ive tried to capture some light on the edges to highlight the gloss. You can see in a couple of the pics the distinct unibody aluminium backing. Now, as for the actual colour of the anodised finish - think current Macbook but slightly lighter shade. It's a bit difficult to capture on a camera phone and current lighting...

Yea I totally agree...aside from a few industry specific things for me, I can pretty much look up the app store and find something I can use real quick. That's pretty good for a phone/tablet.

I got to hold an iphone and play around with one today. It felt great in the hand and was surprising light, been said a lot. The backplate was alot slicker than i thought it was going to be. I thought it would have a little more raw feel, but it was very svelte. The maps took a lot longer to connect initially but after it loaded everything updated super fast, just about as fast as i was panning. This initial hickup was prob due to poor reception as it was on the edge of our cities lte coverage area (i hope).

The guy who owned it is a regular at my place of business and works for at&t corporate.

Any wear on the edges?

I went to a carrier shop (in Germany) just to take a look at both models so I could finally decide which one to order. And **** me, they're both incedibly beautiful. The black one looks like a stealth fighter turned smartphone, the white one like a finely crafted precision watch. Which to choose, I still don't know...

I received my 32gb black/slate iPhone 5 about 9am (I'm in the UK, very lucky I had it early - live near the UPS depot :)) and I have to say it is BEAUTIFUL. I was worried it would look awkward with the slightly increased height, but it certainly doesn't. Even though I knew it was lighter, the decreased weight took me by surprise - I was also concerned it would feel flimsy and cheap due to being so light but it doesn't.

The screen size is fantastic - I come from a HTC One X which felt completely oversized to me, this feels perfect.

I haven't had a chance to test the speed (I haven't noticed any lag or stuttering!) or the camera, but even without that I'm still very, very impressed.

Definitely concerned about that, obviously I'm taking very good care of it now but we'll see further down the line. I'll be buying a case but it's a shame because it's so nice!

Is it perfect out of the box though? I'll be putting a case on mine if I ever open the box! (can't decide if I should open it or return it for a white model)

rattling volume buttons

first impressions of iPhone 5: why do the volume buttons rattle when I tap the phone? It just feels cheap, I presume it is just poorly made in my case - if they all do it I would be embarrassed for Apple.

I will definately be returning it to the Apple Store, If I get there early I can beat the queues, right? ;)
