iPhone 5 Now Available for Pre-Order

I believe you could order it separately and link the phone/account to your premier account later. I did once for iPhone 4.

Pls check with others too.
 
I'll just stand in line for mine. The Apple Store is right across from my work. It will take about 20 minutes to get it and leave the store just like the 4S. :D

Reservation lost?

Anyone else have a reservation that isn't showing up on Apples side? I was able to order 2 lines with the carrier subsidy, but i also had a line that required the full price that i was interested in ordering. Wondering if this is policy or something else at work here.

No preorders for instore pickup this year. Period.

Not even if you go to the store in person, it's just a show up on the 21st kind of deal.....

That is so ridiculous, having been in the preorder line for iPhone4 instore pickup, I know how insane that was, and there was a separate crazier line for no preorders.

Why impact the insanity and make one giant free for all frenzy line??? I do not see any logic in this....

Exact same thing for me. It sucks we won't get phones at same time. I wonder if not activating at same time will be an issue since we are on a family plan or if I will need to wait for hers to arrive to activate both at same time?

I am a little nervous that they are going to force us into a new plan. Right now, we pay around $120 (hers unlimited data, mine 2gb data). If I believe the order, it says we will both have unlimited data, but at $85 each. No way in hell am I paying an extra $50 if that is true. I assume we can sort this out with ATT when we activate.
 
Was anyone successful ordering 2 phones in one order from Apple Store via web? App store app would not let me do this, so I got stuck placing two separate orders and now phones will arrive at different times.
 
Got my order in at 3:15am but it hasn't shipped yet. :mad: Jumping ahead of myself. I'll repost this next week. ;)
 
Shipping Address Change

I successfully pre-ordered my iPhone 5 64GB at 12:05 AM PST through the phone app. At that time I wasn't able to change my shipping address from my home to my work. I was debating whether to change my address now as my order is in the processing stage. If I recall the delivery of my 4s I didn't have the option to sign in advance and leave the signed document on my from door-- needless to say I went directly to the fedex depot. My question-- will there be the option to sign for a delivery if I won't be home or should I go and change my address? I am worried that it is going to screw up my order. Any advice is much appreciated.

Got mine ordered and confirmed at about 8:30 am

Ordered through Sprint, online. Looks like I should have it on the 21 ;) Or dang close. Had to call to cinfirm since it didn't email my notification.... Sprint Store says it should arrive on the 21st since I beat the 2pm mark

For those who were wondering....
The $36 fee, is an upgrade fee for all upgrades at the 2 Year renewal stage (At least with AT&T and Sprint, as far as I know)
 
FYI for everyone. You can change your address after ordering the iPhone 5 on online Apple Store. I changed mine. Still says it will arrive 9/21.

Same here, ordered last night on the app, went onto order status on the full site today and changed it no problem
 
I am assuming....

....that the 2 credit card holds of $99 and $1 from Apple online on my bank statement are for this reason...right? To ensure that a phone is being held for me when they become available? I don't remember buying that many albums from the iTunes store this week :eek:
 
I was up this morning at 0000 hours and was ready to push the iPad button to order but decided to wait. :eek:

Ordered mine at 11:00 am PDT, 64 gig black and it only cost me a week extra delivery time. Was able to use the mailing address on the app. :rolleyes:
 
32gb selling fast

When I ordered my iPhone 5, I ordered the 32gb at first. But then I thought, the 32gb might sell out fast and I may get pushed back on my delivery date other than Sept. 21st. So, I canceled my 32gb and ordered the 64gb thinking that I would get mine by next Friday. And sure enough, I'll be getting mine on the 21st. I think the 32gb and 16gb sell out faster because of their price point. If you have the money, get the 64gb. I'm glad I changed my order. :)
 
I ordered my iPhone at around 3:20 am, but I have still not been charged for it. Is this normal? Does it charge after it is processed?
 
I successfully ordered mine @ 12:04am PT

After many unsuccessful attempts using my desktop browser starting at 12:01am, I was able to get in via Safari on my iPhone the first time. I am looking forward to getting my 64GB black iPhone 5 next Friday!
