iPhone 5 Now Available for Pre-Order

Got mine through the web store, opened up on time here in good ol' Blighty and sailed through with no problems at all! Well, okay, it couldn't log on to my Apple account the first time I tried and actually taking the money was slow but nothing serious. Remarkable under the circumstances.

One 64Gb in Black inbound... now to arrange to work from home next Friday :D
 
Use the Apple Store App, it works beautifully.

Ordered 10 min ago by apple store app due to sites of AT&T and apple not up at that time.
 
Ordered my iPhone 32GB white via apple.com. Tried using the apple store app but couldn't find that damn AppleCare. So I back tracked and used the website. Took longer, was slow loading but I am all set and pre-ordered. :D. Just waiting for my confirmation email. :)

The website quickly loaded - and i was in. Bang on 8 AM here.

Since i cant go on the website.

12:02 just got done pre-ordering my iPhone 5, and I did it through Apple Store App, not bad considering AT&T website is down....again this year.
 
went to att ordered a black 16gb on my black macbook and she went right through, Long Live the 3GS god rest her soul.
 
Safari Bias?

For me the site didn't load in Chrome from 12:00 to 12:08 (I got the multi-lingual "we're doing stuff" message). I was in another room, so I tried my Air, which only has Safari, and the pre-order page loaded right up.
After ordering, I went back to the other Mac, and it loaded right up in Safari there as well, but I couldn't get to the pre-order page in Chrome until 12:14.
 
Apple probably giving preferential treatment to certain browsers/IPs ... :)

Apple Store still won't load for me ...
 
Verizon store was open early, but charging extra $30 for line upgrade and would not be flexible with shipping/billing address.

Apple store went smoothly on time:D
 
Did I say that I hated the new design and that all the rumors were fake? Well, I just placed my pre-order. :D It went through very easily! :)

Didnt come online here in the UK until a few mins past 8

I was done by 8:10

Just be patient... The confirmation page took about 2 mins to show up..

Used Apple Store app like many others. Noticed it came online a bit earlier than the website. No issues. Going with the white version for the first time.

I felt guilty for using my phone to order its own replacement, but I'm sure it understands... :p
 
Well neither Apple nor AT&T's online pages worked for me but I now have successfully ordered an iPhone 5 through the Apple App :D Who would have guessed the app would have actually provided a much smoother, better experience!
