An important lesson that many people have already learned on previous launches...

DON'T ORDER ANYTHING ELSE AT THE SAME TIME AS YOUR PHONE IF YOU WANT IT DELIVERED ON LAUNCH DAY!

If I am using a dumb phone line to upgrade, but the phone will be used on a different number, do the "plan changes" they force me to make at pre-order take effect or do they go away when I actually activate the phone?
 
used store app and order went through smooth. I ordered 2 phones. one in black and one white both in 64g. I have att and last year was a nightmare but it took about 2 min. this time around.
 
Try different browsers. I ordered on apple.com and received my confirmation at 12:06. Chrome and IE on my PC shows the store is down. But Firefox on PC shows it's up. Chrome on my Mac shows the store is up
 
So I can't use a credit card with a different address other than the billing address on my verizon account?

I can't get the app or apple.com to work!

The app keeps timing out when I try to check out and apple.com is still down!
 
Don't hit refresh

Ordered my AT&T 32GB Black & Slate on apple.com .. was a breeze! Do not hit refresh on the "We'll Be Back" screen - that just reloads the same page. Click on 'Store' at the top and it'll take you right in.

Didn't quite think to try using the iOS Apple Store app, but looks like a lot of people have had success through there as well.

As usual, AT&T's site is already down.
 
got off VZ website at 2:57 ET

Upgraded both of my lines on VZ's website at 2:57 AM ET with no problems :D. Had that site up and applestore up on two different windows. Apple store still hasn't opened up.
 
Tried Apple store app and att app...no joy from either. Logged on to Apple website and got mine in record time (compared to previous years). Hooray for server upgrades!

Back to bed.........
 
Got 2 iPhone 5's

Went very smooth, placed 1 order on my iPhone 4s & 1 on my iPad!
Awesome! Now I can't wait until next Friday!!!:cool:

Maybe try heading back to the Apple site? It only glitched once on me around 8 minutes after launch, and I didn't even have to re-enter my password, just clicked on my Cart and was good to go.

I always order on my phone and it almost always gets delivered before launch day. Ordered on the phone again, so we'll see.
