The more you look at this photo the more you can see it's a total FAIL at a fake mock up. Mac Rumour editors you need to put your glasses on!!

Apple will either keep the current screen or increase to 3.7 or 3.8.

VERY good read on why we won't see a 4" here:

http://www.tuaw.com/2011/02/16/the-four-inch-iphone-display-doing-the-math/

Tat may have been posted before. Anyway the only way we will see a bigger screen is with a bigger phone. And many people including me don't want that.

Pretty annoying dilemma, want a larger screen but the current phone is the perfect size

They should just bump it up to 4". Galaxy S had no problems being slim and still packing a 4" screen. The Iphone4 looks like a toy even when compared to phones with 3.7" screens.

Don't get me wrong, it's a nice phone, but after using phones with even 3.7" screens, it's hard to even consider dropping back down to 3.5".

A bigger screen may just mean smaller home button and ear piece space.

Let's hope so anyway, no way do I want a bigger phone!

Looks fake anyway, printed on some thin film!

What if it's not fake? What if this has a manufacturing defect and that's precisely why he got to take a photo of this discarded specimen (although I doubt the janitor found it in the trash :) )?

What if it's an iPhone nano? 3.5" screen, but the whole phone is smaller--this would be tiny, wouldn't it?!

I am buying this one. You can clearly see the buttons on the elevator in the reflections.

Fake, camera isn't even on that side haha

And of course couldn't possibly be changed.
Not that I have an opinion of the authenticity here.
I do know I don't want a physically bigger phone AT ALL.
Current screen size is fine with me too.

Yes all you naysayers calling Fake, we get it.

You feel so insecure & threatened by the fact's, Apple is finally learning from Google & Android that the iPhones tiny 3.5" screen just doesn't cut it.

You're so afraid of being wrong, so determined to live in the past. Yes indeed.

Too bad you're so predictable. It's no wonder you're called iSheep.

It's denial today until you get permission from Uncle Steve. Then you'll do a 180 and proclaim that Apple invented the 4.0" display.

The rest of the uninformed will believe it and buy millions of Apple copy cat models.

Oh, and thank you so much for making me wealthy off all the Apple stock I've bought over the years. If not for all the BS it wouldn't be worth the astronomical share price of today, compared to when I paid less than twenty bucks per share.... Boy did I win big on that deal!

Cheers Boys

Everybody's a critic.Funny thing is they usually couldn't or wouldn't do what the person they are criticizing can.

Brilliant assessment. You could be right. :)

Not fake!

Here's a leaked Apple pack-shot...

Great I guess, but am I the only one who thinks black looks horrible for an iPhone? White on the other hand looks pretty awesome.. Apple should either it brushed aluminum or white..

lol!

Make it 5 inch...

Lets stop playing around...

I'm like 5 months from switching to Android

I disagree. iPhone is already quite wide for something that you typically hold in one hand, especially for women with smaller hands. But by all means switch to Android if you like playing around with 5 inches.

If real, very un-inspired

Here's hoping for a 4.3" screen so the on screen keyboard is usable by those of us who cannot operate a keyboard on a 3.5" screen so have purchased Android handsets.

And Apple, please add a mechanical camera shutter release, because until you do, I will never buy an iPhone.

Every tried a self portrait with an iPhone? Impossible. (As it is on other phones without mechanical shutter releases.)

And please include Thunderbolt I/O too. No more poncy USB.

Thnx Bai

IMHO 5" screen=fail. If the iPhone screen is too small, get a tablet. I don't want the phone getting any bigger. Smaller would be great.

I also really think we are much more likely to see an iPhone 4 this summer than any major redesign. The 4 was a major bit of work and I think they are confident there is much more mileage in it. The retina LCD wasn't exactly floating around out there before the 4. Changing it now would be pretty costly and would we really want another resolution to worry about. 4 = 2x3. It's simpler that way.

it might be a fake however i would love to see the screen that big.

Please Apple

I wouldn't mind it, as long as it was tapered.

You see, with a four inch model, Apple could make the battery even bigger. Think about the iPad. Bigger display, much bigger battery, epic battery life.

The other potential that I see is splitting the iPhone into two product lines, with one being an iPhone Pro. The iPhone Nano could potentially fit in here, but that seems unlikely to me. Perhaps they could shrink down the existing model a little bit, use some cheaper parts like the retina screen from the iPod Touch that is non-IPS, and sell the base iPhone for cheaper with the Pro model for power users and other Apple freaks like most of us.

This way Apple gets to dominate the high-end while nosing their way into the mid-to-low end.

If apple does go with a 4inch screen, the actual size of the phone wouldn't get bigger. Loot at the mock ups

Think Steve Jobs would give in and say that 3.5" screen is too small? Nah...
