iPhone 5 Pre order Thread !!!!

havent there been reports of production issues of the screens? I wonder if there will be limited numbers available in the first couple weeks...

im gunna be pre ordering the white 64GB version when they allow the preorders....im in australia so mine will be unlocked from apple.
 
Do they charge for the phone immediately? Or when it ships? Everyone says apple charges when items ship, but in most cases for me apple has charged when I immediately placed an order.
 
i know that when ever i receive things from apple it comes up as an authorisation on my account then 2 to 5 days later it comes out of my account
 
I live in South Florida and want to preorder the iphone 5 is there any potential damage to the battery in the phone, due to heat, if my preorder sits in a delivery truck all day?
 
Sharp is The only company who's building is on the apple display, orders they can't make for everybody :p
 
I was able to get through and buy two 32 GB and one 16 GB about 15 minutes ago... going back to sleep now.
 
VZW site was fine, ordered and already got confirmed over the phone. ATT seemed to be slow and Apple was still down as of recent.

My only issue is VZW will only ship to my billing address, which is my condo. On a weekday I'm at work during the day. So now what?
 
This isn't going to touch my grandfathered data plan is it and leave it how it is? I definitely still want it :)

Got my bf's orderin, went back to do mine and it says they cant get to the carrier and will email me when they can. Grr. They do say theyve reserved me a phone, and gave me a reservation number, but you know what Public Enemy say.... Can't trust it!
 
I used a friends account and his upgrade to buy the phone. I ordered using the iPhone app. The shipping address is not his billing address on his Verizon account and I used my billing address to process my debit card... Is my order going to be canceled?

I successfully preordered a 64 GB black iPhone 5 from Apple's online store. I am happy.
 
I ordered mine iphone 5 32gb ATT black at 3:46 am, i could not even get into the apple store. Took me a few minutes of trying over and over to get the store to come up. Finally was able to order for sept 21 delivery date. Got my email and now processing order.
 
So glad I didn't listen to some of the people here who said it would be okay to wait a few hours. Got up at 3 and pre ordered... If I had waited it would be an extra 2 weeks....
 
Black Verizon 64GB ordered at around 3.45am EST. Used the iOS apple store and it was completely smooth and painless. Order processing email with 9/21 delivery date came almost straight away.
 
Apple.com is saying 2 weeks to ship, I am thinking about going to a Sprint store. I called after the keynote and put name on the list. I am second on the list and they said they would call me to pick it up. Best bet will be to go with that instead of the 2 week wait.
 
Pre order i5

I got up at 3:05 est and ordered thru AT&T. Couldn't complete my order because site crashed. Immediately went on to Apple site and by 3:45 am got my confirmation for Sept 21. Glad I got it in because I am using an old phone since I sold IPhone 4s on Craig's list last month for great price and I am in severe withdrawal without it!! :p
 
Found out something Interesting when I contacted Verizon to see how to place my order. They said create a new line and do not change your current plan and you can get the new phone and keep your old unlimited data plan, then just cancel and pay the etf or keep the line and reduce the plan. Here's the interesting part. If I wasn't going to turn the new line off when I got the phone, I can add the new line to my unlimited data plan. I have 2 lines right now and both have unlimited data, but I can add up to 3 more lines and they can STILL get the unlimited data. I bet you most people don't know that.
 
I went to Sprint's website and ordered mine and got a confirmation for delivery on Friday the 21st. I will just take off like I did for the iPad 3. My wife will be excited since it is for her.
 
Took the plunge changing from att to vzw. I had to order through verizon instead of apple because the order process on apple.com was unable to process multiple lines in one new contract order.
 
Got an email back from Verizon about address change to my work address (since it makes zero sense to force your billing address as shipping since who will be home on weekdays?)

"Dear Valued Customer,

Thank you for contacting Verizon Wireless. We sincerely apologize for any confusion. Your order is a pre order and is expected to ship by 09/21.. We will send you updates via email as soon as they become available. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused. Unfortunately, the shipping address for new lines of service cannot be changed to protect customers."
