Now I'd just like confirmation of the same 649/749/849 unlocked pricing structure.

Unlocked iPhones took a EUR 50 bump here in France where more and more people buy unlocked phones! Eur 679 inc VAT instead of Eur 629 for the 4S. You're looking at a USD 65 increase per phone ! I find it a tad much to swallow, frankly...

I'm definitely keeping the 3GS with iOS 6 for a few more weeks before getting myself a 5.

Im just wondering, if im using an upgrade from another line on mine to get the iPhone 5 can I go into AT&T and ask them to ship it to me day 1 or do I still need to go into store to pick it up?

They can ship it to you, you'll just need to call 611 to give them the ID after it arrives.

I actually received my phone a day early last year from the online store.

Verizon stated they will allow Facetime over their network on any data plan for the iPhone 5 only.

Saw that on a different Apple insider site. Verizon sent out a press release as well.

So will the phone stores be open just for pre-orders or do you have to do it all online? i haven't started my plan yet cause i'm going to a AT&T new, tomorrow/21st so i'm kinda lost in how this whole pre-order works. If i don't pre-order right off the bat at 12:01 am i going to have to wait like 2 weeks to have them send it or can i go later in the day friday and still get it by the 21st?

I know AT&T is only letting you use Facetime over cellular with a shared plan. Does anyone know about Verizon? I just called and the woman I spoke with had no clue and dropped my call when trying to transfer me. Apple doesn't seem to know either...

meh "iPhone 4GS" would have been a more applicable name.


The iPhone5 is a nice incremental upgrade, but not enough for me to rush out and replace my iPhone4 (even after two years of using it now).

I don't get what the fuss is about. iOS is very disappointing. So limiting and restrictive. Have you people seen Android Jelly Bean on the latst Samsung hardware. It puts iOS to shame and 5 years behind.

This iPhone is release has nothing new. The processor is slow compared to Samsung, the screen is small. Apple have lost their way.

I've had an iPhone for the past 4 years. This year is my last. In November my contract is up for renewal and I will be hopping to the future which is Android.

That's my 2 cents...
