I hope this doesn't take hours for me to preorder. I'm gonna be on at 3am EST and I understand it will be crowded and I expect it but I don't want to be on for 3 hours trying to get this phone. Hopefully it won't be too bad. (it's not like they don't have time to prepare)

Im just wondering, if im using an upgrade from another line on mine to get the iPhone 5 can I go into AT&T and ask them to ship it to me day 1 or do I still need to go into store to pick it up?

Last year's Apple pre-orders were a mess. Hopefully this time they're better prepared! :)

This is going to be a long night. Followed by day after day of checking order status seeing if it's shipped and then later religiously following the FedEx/UPS tracking online. Can't wait.

Any details for the UK?

I want to secure one now but the networks have said NOTHING about the launch! EE has a page or two up at T-Mobile and Orange with a mailing list sign up, which I'd be looking to use for 4G and stuff, but if they don't get their act together are the first-week adopters going to have to buy it SIM-Free?

Facetime over cellular?

I know AT&T is only letting you use Facetime over cellular with a shared plan. Does anyone know about Verizon? I just called and the woman I spoke with had no clue and dropped my call when trying to transfer me. Apple doesn't seem to know either...

Agreed, poor communication from the networks here :S

Last year I stayed up to try and get it right at 3, but it didn't open until 3:45 and then was so crowded that I couldn't get one. So by 4 something I gave up, when to sleep, got up again at 6:30 and did it. Then went to 9am class, haha.

When you ordered it this way, did you receive it on launch day or did it SHIP that day?

I'd rather live in CA where the weather is beautiful all year round than not pay tax on the unsubsidized price of the phone.

Depends on where you live in CA. I go to school there and the weather is NOT beautiful year round.
