The next iPhone will have just enough new features to warrant an upgrade for many people, and lack just enough to piss off the rest.
True words was never spoken.
That is also why I think they will wait with NFC and wireless charging.

96GB storage? Haven't you noticed a trend? 16, 32, 64... 96 is not the next logical step, if it were, then there would also be a 48 GB model. And I would be shellshocked if they ever allowed Flash. My predictions
3.7-4.3 inch screen
96gb storage
1gb RAM
A6 Processor
Something better then SIRI
12 megapixel camera (back), 3 megapixel camera with 720p (front)
adobe flash player if your plugged into charger maybe?
They will call it the iPhone 5 in all likelihood. Your little "table" is almost completely false (with the exception of iPhone 4 = iPhone 4). The original iPhone was **NOT** called the iPhone 1 (even though you seem to think it was), nor was the iPhone 3GS called the iPhone 3. YOU (or I) don't decide what the iPhone models are called. Apple does. There was no "iPhone 2". So no, the iPhone 4S is not the iPhone 5. The iPhone 3GS was the 3rd generation iPhone, and the iPhone 4S is the "5th Generation iPhone" (nobody can dispute those claims), but it is NOT the iPhone 5. Period. Just because you think of a certain model as an iPhone GENERATION# doesn't mean many, or any others do.The 3G in iPhone 3G stands for third generation mobile network, not third generation iPhone. The iPhone 3G is the "iPhone 2". It is in no way a 'series 3' device. That is the 3GS.
iPhone = iPhone 1 (with iOS1)
iPhone 3G = iPhone 2 (with iOS2)
iPhone 3GS = iPhone 3 (with iOS3)
iPhone 4 = iPhone 4 (with iOS4)
iPhone 4S = iPhone 5 (with iOS5)
Potential 2012 iPhone = iPhone 6 (may or may not be it's name).
Yes, they could call it the iPhone 5 (IMO a crazy move) but until we know, we need to be talking about the "6th iPhone" and the thread title needs to be "6G iPhone predictions?".
I don't care about the specs, the iPhone 4S already has great specs. I want the next iPhone to be like a mini iPad 2. The backside of the iPad 2 is absolutely gorgeous and I love the matte aluminium as a case. The way it's tapered makes it also very comfortable to hold.
But it is easily scratchable
Apples next iPhone will be called the iPhone 5, so why would we call the iPhone 4S the iPhone 5?
No, not at all. My original iPhone hardly a scratch on it (I think 0) after I sold it after two years of usage (of which one year without a case). Aluminium doesn't scratch that easily. It dents however (E=69GPa for aluminium), but that's a different story. But it is easily scratchable
The 4S is the iPhone 5. Why don't people understand this?
The next iPhone will be sporting iOS 6 and will be the sixth generation of the device. It would make zero sense to call it the iPhone 5.

Sure would.A Thunderbolt port would be nice.
You mean iCloud? You no longer need iTunes for syncing. We will still be heavily dependent on iTunes for most media transfer and other needs.
Bet on it.
