iPhone 5 Reservation at Apple Store

Lucky. I want a 16GB and none in Ohio or neighboring states for AT&T. Where the eff are they!
I guess Apple hates the state of Michigan. I have been checking since day one and there has been absolutely nothing. This is a joke. **** Verizon for sending me a damaged phone.
Because customer care told me that I could use the damaged one while I waited for a new one to arrive, only to be told at the store that this wasn't true. That's how it's Verizon's fault.
This is only day 2 for me.
No 16GB or 32GB Verizon in New Jersey.
However, the store rep gave me wrong information the first time around. He told me that the "Buy Now" icon on the Store page would turn into "Reserve" at 10PM.
Like an idiot, I kept refreshing that page, while everyone else was already inside and refreshing the inventory via the "Locate" button.
But day 2, I was ready, yet there was nothing.
The idea of November 8-15 is starting to look more appealing than having to do this every night and going to bed pissed.

Look at the bright side, we'll get the phones with the stricter QC process....right???
What do you think the chances are of walking into an Apple Store at or before 10AM and grabbing an iPhone in stock? Consequently, what about staying until 10PM if someone doesn't come in to pick up their iPhone? I could also be using their Macs to do the reservation for the next day while I'm there...
As I was told by the Apple rep, the phones have to be picked up by 5pm, so you wouldn't have to wait that late. As far as I understand it, at least. However... I don't think that's how the system works. I don't think those phones become immediately "available".
I saw the white ones out in GR, but I cannot escape the lure of the black iPhone!
Sorry to hear about some of your guys luck trying to get the AT&T phone. I guess I got lucky... Yesterday morning my iPhone 4 finally crapped out on me so I called the nearest RadioShack to my house when they opened and they had one 16 and one 32 left. (only had white, but I didn't care about color). The whole process from the phone breaking to having the new 5 in my hand took about an hour! haha

I've been considering doing this as well. It seems like everyone is gravitating towards Apple so stores like BB, Target, Walmart, etc may have a little stock to sell.
The rep is confused. Last year they made reservations and you came in the next day to buy the phone. This year you buy the phone online with store pickup, and its held for 30 days as you've already paid.
I probably would have drove to Novi or Ann Arbor if they had them in Black. I just didn't want to wait any longer.
^^^ I actually got to the radioshack early and had time to kill so I went to wal mart across the street and asked the electronics guy for the hell of it, and they had some too but only verizon
Well I for the 2nd night in a row, I scored a 16GB White for VZW in the Portland Pioneer Place store, this one's for the wifey! And I'm officially done playing the game. Good luck to the rest of you!
