okay, let me make sure im doing this right.

at 9:55, i should go to the apple website. click "buy iphone." Choose my carrier, model and color. Select "new customer", put in all my billing address, ssn, etc, then at the check out screen choose "pick up." When the location box comes up, put in my zip code and keep clicking "locate."

Am i miss something? Just asking because ive been doing that for the past 3 nights and i get zero luck with the zip code 21250. ALl places are out of stock for me still.

Are you guys using safari? chrome?

Sounds like you're doing everything fine. It took me three or four nights of trying before I had any luck when I got my phone a little over a week ago. It can be an understandably frustrating game.

On another note, if you do happen to have an Apple store close enough to be convenient, you may want to try walking in at opening time. When I went to pick up my phone, I got there about a half hour before opening (traffic was light). I was surprised to see the doors open and customers in the store already. The sales guy that was taking care of me mentioned that they decided to open early because they didn't feel like making all the walk-in buyers wait in the rain. I was confused by this until he mentioned that they always held about a dozen phones of various types for the walk in crowd each morning. Not sure if this was a store or Apple policy, but it was nice knowing there's hope for the folks who struck out on the reservation game.

I have 32 and 64 white AT&T saved in my cart. I am hoping the higher capacity models will be easier to get, plus I would rather not have to worry about storage later.

I am planning a trip into the Apple store this morning myself. Could not get my info for AT&T to go through last night, but it is working now. I had turned down a couple 64GB models at the Apple store, but I am to the point of taking whatever I can get. I don't know if I will ever use 64GB, but 2 years is a long time to accumulate stuff.

Hmm I wanted to walk in store at opening time but I thought maybe they didnt keep any for people walking in and only for reservations?

Reserved one last night. Was available in NYC at around 10:30 pm.

Still haven't received the email that it's ready to be picked up...WHY?

I have no idea if that's the case everywhere. It was just what I was told by the guy helping me out at the Bayshore store in Wisconsin.

And just in case anyone from Apple reads these threads, I was shocked by how incredible the customer service was at that store. It's not something you see every day in the retail world.

AT&T had computer issues over night. You should be fine soon. I'd just head to the apple store.

Have we agreed that most apple stores don't receive shipments on Sunday nights?
I just switched BACK to AT&T so I'm in line again for another ip5.

Im thinking about going in tomorrow morning and waiting in line DO they have a little stock for people picking up without reservation

I just called my apple store. they had 1 ATT white 32 in stock. I want a black 64.

I will try again tonight, just in case.

I'd just head over there if I was you. AT&T had some server problems over night and apple couldn't process some requests. I bet your phone is there and waiting for you.

Sadly I have verizon, I found an att one at a radioshack but thats all.

Do they do reservations tonight? like get any shipment?

So I tried to do the reservation thing last night and got nothing so I just lined up at the Apple store this morning in hopes that they had something. They did have AT&T and Sprint iPhones at Valley Fair this morning but not any for Verizon, which was what I needed :( They told me that they don't receive shipments on Sundays so I'm probably not going to bother tonight. This is kind of ridiculous.

Also when there was a small crowd of people lined up at the Valley Fair Apple store this morning, the Microsoft store employees were taunting us and making gestures, overall acting incredibly unprofessional

But if you reserve tonight that might be the shipment for tomorrow morning so I would check anyways, whats the loss really

Perhaps going to your provider and ask if they can order a phone for you. This may be faster than going through Apple. Some carriers may trade in your iPhone 4/4S for credit towards a new iPhone. I ordered my two iPhone 5 64G black on 10.09.2012 and both arrived on 10.12.2012. Employee states perhaps the reason our phones arrived sooner than if I had ordered the 16GB or 32GB is there my not be much demand for the 64GB model.

Thinking about doing that. 64gb isnt neccesary but I mean if I can get it sooner through verizon that way I might try it. No one seems to know when it would ship and it says 11/16 for arrival and I cant wait that long my phone is broken and im literally using an old flip phone now

I was told this as well. But it's always hard to know if it's just sales talk. Know what I mean? But Good for you!
I sold my iphone to amazon. Got a great deal from them. It will fund Christmas. :)

Been following this thread for weeks. Gave in and gave the process a try tonight! Managed to reserve an AT&T 32gig (white) in NYC! Occurred exactly at 10:00pm! :)

Tried for the last time tonight. refreshed every second from 945 to 1010

nothing. within 70 miles, even tried 64gb. Nothing at all for verizon so I just caved and ordered it at verizon
