iPhone 5 Reservation at Apple Store

Heck yeah! I was able to get a Black 32GB in Colorado Springs. Showed up for availability at 10:04p. I even had enough time to try to place and order, have my check card declined and move funds around to fill the account again (I like to keep it low just in case it's stolen and had forgotten to up the funds) and then place the order again. Now I'm just waiting for the email telling me it's ready for pickup.
Super happy as the wife and I decided it was a good time to buy it just today and I had a few long days at work this past week and had bronchitis (always fun) the week before. Nice little gift after all that.
For those wondering, I was told by one Apple employee at the store today that personal pickup is the best way to get one quickly. He said they hold them for one day only so I'd have till closing tomorrow to pick it up. When asked how many, I was told anywhere from 1-60 but they were getting more with every shipment.

Just got a White AT&T 32GB reserved for pick up at the Southcenter store in Seattle. At 10:04 all of the Seattle area stores showed in stock for this model. Good luck to everyone!!

I finally got a black 64 gb from short hills nj. I got order number and all but still haven't gotten a confirm email. It's logged in my account as purchased tho. So does this mean I got it or is apple blowing smoke up my butt? I'd hate to drive all way to nj from pa for smoke and mirrors.

This is getting frustrating. Stock finally showed up at my local store (Roseville, CA) after a solid week of checking every night, but I couldn't complete checkout in time. I suppose they got a very small number of them because I've seen stock at other more distant stores last at least a few min. Stupidly I was using my iPad to make the purchase instead of a PC, which would have been faster getting through the screens.
I really want to just place an order online so I don't have to think about it anymore, but given both Apple and AT&T are about a month behind in shipping orders, I just don't want to wait that long.
I suppose I'll continue to be a slave to the reservation screen

Shoot you can just have my 32gb white AT&T! Lol I decided I want black instead so I reserved one in alderwood, already have my white ine in Craigslist. And phone calls, though I am not answering this late at night. Go to bed people!

I used the apple app for the hone on my ipad! After 5 days I finally got it tonight of course with all the infos and credit card saved before i checked earlier!
My error the other night was I was not fast enought when stock were available, byt the time i entered all infos, credit cards and agree the terms the iphone was sold out
You'll get the confirm email in the morning, usually between 7-8am.
Got mine at 7:45am this morning & picked up phone at 1:30pm.

How do you reliably refresh the store availability in the app? Seems like after you first tap each store on the list, it doesn't update any more.
The Verizon store down the street from me has a black 32 but I need two phones not just one so it doesn't do me much good...
Why not buy the one they have now & get the second later?

I closed the app then reopen since it will started it from the last saved item! I did that 10 times tonight before I got 1 store available for pick up
I got all done around 10:10 pm and started doing the refresh around 9:45 pm.
I did the same. Switched between that and closing the locate window on OS X and reopening it and pasting my zip code in. OS X showed it available first. Then I decided I wanted to try buying it using the app. Worked perfectly.
Also, the app showed the order being available for pickup before my email came in.
Can you go in at 9a to pick it up when they aren't open for shopping but are for genius appts and teaching sessions?Just got home from picking up my black iP5 from the 5th ave store. BEAUTIFUL!!
My email arrived for my 32GB black 5 and I'm stoked!

You can pick it up at whatever time you want of its reserved at the 5th Ave store
damn i wish refreshing since 9.55 on both chrome and safari. Zip code of 21250 brought NOTHING up for available.
some people are having luck when they reserve it under a upgrade, and then show up in store and pay full price with no commitment. Others try to do that and are told they cannot. Best to just try it and find out.

I've only tried the online reservation once so far, with no luck. I'll probably try again, but 10pm is way past my bedtime.
One thing I was curious about - after giving the site my personal details, it said (paraphrased) "you may be required to pay a security deposit" (that's only roughly what it said). Our family's cell service is in my wife's name (with T-Mobile so AT&T knows nothing about our ability to pay a phone bill), but I was a bit surprised at the possibility of having to pay a security deposit.
Do they show that text to everyone who applies, just in case a deposit *might* be required? Or does this mean there's a strong possibility (based on the credit check) that AT&T will require a security deposit.
I ask because to the best of my knowledge my credit is really good, and I'd be a bit offended (frankly) if AT&T were to insist on a security deposit. I can easily afford to loan them some money for a period of time, but it shouldn't be necessary. They have lots more spare cash than me

Because I'm switching providers. I would have one phone on ATT and one on Verizon.
