Have you guys received your Ready for pickup reservation from last night? I reserved 2 phones but it's still processing until now

In the past I got my email around an hour before the store opened.

Post if you have any luck. This is getting frustrating. I'm so mad at myself for switching to verizon (and then back to ATT). I HAD an iphone 5 dang it.

Yeah, I tried walking into two Apple Stores yesterday, asking if they had any in stock. They acted like I was absolutely insane for asking such a thing. The Apple Store employee directed me to the 10pm reservation system and wished me "good luck".

Same here pne employee said to be there for 730am cause he got it that way

Apparently so. It is kind of funny that the online reservation claimed they didn't have any, yet they had some available for walk ins. If you try to get one at the store, I suggest getting there as early as possible. As soon as they notice people in line they will come out and tell you what they have available.

It is definitely worth a shot. Just get there early so you can be first in line :p.
 
Went on the Apple Store app on my iPhone last night (around 11:45PM West Coast time) to see if I can reserve one.

Was able to reserve a White 32GB AT&T for the South Coast Plaza Store. There were several stores that had the same phone available as well including Mission Viejo and Manhattan Beach stores.

I got my confirmation of reservation this morning around 8:30. I'm going to go in after work, let's hope they actually put one aside for me.
 
I was first in line today. They had ONE white 64GB Sprint.

I'm going to order today and call it good. This is taking too much of my time.

Yeah its ridiculous. NO Verizon at all here.

I found ONE AT&T iPhone 5 and literally about 25 Sprint ones. No one wants Sprint hahaha.:(
 
If you walk in when the Apple Store opens, you should be able to get one at walk-in. Chances are better on weekday.
 
My mom went to an Apple store (as a walk in) in San Diego today to try to buy me an iphone 5 and they said the best chance is to get it online.

I live in San Francisco, someone please tell me there is hope for me to get it by walking in, in San Francisco!
 
Wow! Tonight was a wild ride on the online order system... Kept getting the "oops" error and booted out to the main store menu. I kept re-inputting my iPhone selection and cell account information over and over via the web site, to no avail. Simultaneously, I was trying to process the order (AT&T white 32GB) on my iPhone app. Finally, I received a GREEN "Unavailable for Pickup" message (yes, green) from the closest store to me and tried to place the order. To my surprise, it went through and I received the "Thank You" email from Apple a few minutes.

I waited a few more minutes, then went back online and entered my wife's account information for the same phone selection (to verify inventory), and discovered that there were over ten phones in my cart! After deleting all but one, I selected "Pick up" and the phone showed as "In Stock" at the closest Apple store (as well as about five others a bit farther away). In fact, the system still shows them as being in stock...

Hopefully, they were indeed in stock and I'll get the confirmation email in the morning...

Phew! Got the confirmation email this morning and just got back from picking up my new iPhone. Initially, when I took off the back protector, it looked as if there was a bad nick in the matte aluminum surface and the associate went back to see if they had any extra phones. While she was checking, I was able to rub off the "nick" and didn't need a replacement. She was able to find a phone (retail packaging) that wasn't already spoken for - so if you're need a white 32GB AT&T iPhone 5 and are in the Thousand Oaks area, you might drop in to the Apple store in The Oaks mall and see if they still have it in stock. (The store was still showing this model in stock last night when I went to bed...)

Last night, from about 10 until 10:25 nothing was working for me (West Coast). I eventually got my order in on the app. About a month ago, I was successful on my second night of trying using the web site.

Scott, I stopped checking about 10 minutes after since the system was all whack - what time did the phones actually show up for you?

Just so I know to keep trying if it was later than 10:10
 
I broke down and ordered, from Apple.
And my email says:

Delivers Nov 26 - Nov 30 via Standard Shipping

I think I'll cancel and keep trying my 10pm luck. It's gotta be better than A MONTH.

It will be - no doubt - could take a few days - but definitely better than a month.
 
Anyone know when they will charge your credit card once you make the reservation? Is it immediate?

I kept at it until (as I recall) 10:28. (It could have been as early as 10:25, if I got the time from my watch...) AND, the interesting thing was that I selected my desired store when the "Not Available for Pickup" notation turned green, without waiting for the notation to change to "Available".

I used the app, rather than the web site to place my order. The web site didn't recover until a few minutes later, and I noticed that the phone I had just ordered was now showing up in about seven stores in southern California. It looks as if the system tossed everybody off and most people gave up...
 
For the second time I've lost my phone during checkout. In stock at the upper west side Apple store in NYC only to have it sellout while I was checking out. Bummer. Been at it for almost 3 weeks now with no luck :(
