iPhone 5 Reservation at Apple Store

finally got one last night at the naperville,il store which is a suburb of chicago...looks like all chicago stores and surrounding areas received stock

Anyone else experience this? Is this normal? Is there anyway to leave my pending order with Verizon alone, and then hope to snag a phone at apple before VZ ships and I can cancel the VZ order?

You have to cancel your VZ order to free up the upgrade.
 
It's official, no device-only in the Apple Stores. New guidelines, you can't buy any iPhone if you're not linked to a carrier (I even wonder if you can buy a full-price phone if you are under contract a AT&T or Verizon).

Seems we in the Uk are very lucky at being able to buy sim free unlocked iPhone 5's

thank God i bought my both 5s at full price. reserved them using my AT&T account though:D
 
FINALLY GOT ONE. After two weeks. This morning I went to AT&T website and checked availability. My local store showed they had black 64 so I drove over. She said they had 8 of them. I'm finally back to normal!
 
Do you paid a full price for your iphone 5 or renew your contract with AT&T
what can I do If I want an unlocked one. I'm not american so I dont have a SN but since I'm going to the US in a couple of weeks, I would like to get one iPhone 5 ASAP so I can sell my 4S before price goes down

Any one planning on reserving any of them. Seems like people are out collecting candy :apple:

Mine was a simple cross upgrade. I paid the subsidized price.

Thanks! I was stunned and pleased. I did not expect to be able to walk into AT&T today and get one. yay me!

they must rotate what they send, b/c most stores in cali had not had a 16gb in weeks and now in all of socal most stores had them.
 
Managed to get a 32gb White Verizon at the OakBrook Store, IL after a week of trying to reserve online. Just in the nick of time since I was about to order one from a physical verizon store near me which will ship 11/16. I'm enjoying mine right now. So happy... no scuffs, no scratches. :)
 
I've been trying to get an at&t 16g white one for days now and no luck in the bay area. Anybody else experiencing this? I'm not sure what to do. :confused:

How did you check availability on the ATT site? I can't find that function anywhere... Thanks!

ATT Website stock availability

When you are about to add it to your cart, just below add to cart, you should see a small text (think it was green but I can't look now) link that says "Check Availaibity in store" or something similar.

Hahaha

Just received an email from Best Buy that my 64GB black iP5 pre-order over a month ago is finally there for me to pick it up.

I was able to buy black 64GB twice via this reservation system.

So check your nearest BBs guys if you are still looking. Mine will be canceled automatically.
