iPhone 5 Reservation at Apple Store

I am doing a dry run of this every night until next Thursday. Trying to get AT&T 16GB white for the Mrs. and a 32GB black for myself. Podunklahoma.

Mom and bro are located in different states. South FL iPhones went RIDICULOUSLY quick I almost lost it in the cart, said it was unavailable but I got the order through and my bro got a confirmation.

Any strategies? I have been trying for the last hour with 6 phones in cart just to see if anything is available and ZILCH

Trying for the same combo in MI... it seems that OH has many in stock, but MI only has the 16gb Black (AT&T)

...if only my pre-order would get bumped up from Oct9-15, that would be so much simpler.


Has anyone pre-ordered (through Apple), but cancelled in order to make a reservation-for-pickup? I'm wondering how fast the system will mark me as re-eligible for upgrade after I cancel my pre-order..
 
Finally! Just got one tonight, for pickup tomorrow in Alpharetta, GA.

Now I can cancel the stupid preorder from Walmart that still hasn't come in for a week now. Of course, my luck, they'll call tomorrow and say its ready...
 
Hmm - finally got my hands on one during the personal shopper inventory update. Its a 32GB Black AT&T at the Westchester Apple Store in NY - about 60 miles out of my way. I have a 32GB iPhone 4 and wanted the 64GB iPhone 5. But since the 64 is no where to be found, I'm trying to decide if I would be happy with the 32GB. Option 2 would be to buy the 32 and perhaps a 64 would be available within my 30 day return window - or option 3 - hold off from purchasing and wait for the 64. This is a much harder decision then it should be...
 
at 10:09PM I reserved a 16GB AT&T in Black at Bethesda Row! Woohoo! It's an hour metro ride though...The things I do..
 
Definitely more in stock tonight. I've seen the 16/32gig in white, 16/32gig in black in New Orleans, Houston, Dallas, Jackson store.

I didn't see any 16/32gb black in Houston or Dallas for AT&T. What provider did you see it for. Had a couple people on looking and they didn't see it either.
 
How long after you placed your order did your pickup email come? I received email that said preparing for pickup but that's all.
 
Just got a 32 white at&t in Nashville. Tried everynight since they started this.

It actually showed up @ 9:58 CST on the app, so keep trying folks. Good luck.
 
So picked up the black 32 ATT monday night from Barton Creek in Austin. Tonight I got the other 2 iphone 5s ive been wanting, white 32 for myself and white 16 for mother at Domain in Austin.

Super happy!
