I saw white 32GB ATT show up for the Scottsdale Quarter, and Biltmore stores Friday night but they were gone quickly. :(

I got a Verizon white 16gb at Biltmore on Thursday night and black 32gb at Scottsdale Quarter on Fri but haven't seen anything since. Been trying to find a black 64gb.

I'm so disappointed man, I want my phone! How long did it take for the iPhone 4s supply to catch up to demand last year?

wow, just wow. an almost year old phone for selling only $200 less than full price brand new? esp with the latest model just around the corner? a bit optimistic there buddy :)

Currently 16gb iphone 4S are going for around $300 on CL (add $100-150 for 64gb). This trend is consistent with prices of 2nd hand previous-gen iphone prices around this time of year, in the past 2 years that I've been buying/exporting new+2nd hand iphones. The insanely cheap ebay unlock solutions have killed the higher prices that "factory unlocked" iphones used to command.

I was able to get almost $600 for my 64Gig 4S with the auction closing on the day before iPhone release (so well after the announcement)

Phones are a lot more expensive outside the US too. Russia would have been like $1400 USD for the same phone and I did have a couple bidders from there

I also sold my iPad THE DAY BEFORE the announcement for $50 below retail by offering to drive 45 min to meet the guy and reminding him he was saving tax as well, and it was only three months old, but still, that was insanely awesome!

I think they were already at better supply levels, or less demand. I don't remember them being last two weeks direct from apple for more then maybe a week after release, or less. They also didn't move 5 million units the first weekend last year...

So I'm curious.

I'm going to use my wifes upgrade (I have an awesome wife)

If I was to reserve and get lucky enough to reserve one I would have to obviously do it on her line via the Apple Store site, I take it Apple can't assign it to my line afterwards right.

If I understand correctly they will activate it on her line. I have been told that I can just make sure to not turn it on until after I'm done at the Apple store and that I'll have to stop by an ATT store or call 611 to have them swap that over to my line before I turn it on correct?

I don't want to have to get a new Sim for my wife cause turning it on deactivated her current sim.

I was under the impression Apple makes you activate it in store.

Apple doesn't make you activate it in store. I picked up some iPhone 4's for my children last night and didn't activate them until I got home. There is also a thread on how to perform the upgrade swap as well.

Just a quick update for anyone who read my post from yesterday. Three of us ending up waiting for almost 3 hours, until the Sprint system was back up in the apple store. I was lucky enough to get a $50 apple gift card from the store manager for my patience. I used it toward my applecare+ purchase. The apple store didn't have any cases so I drove to nearby Target during my wait. FYI They had speck, belkin, frogz and a few other cases for the the iphone 5 - most say "new iphone" on them.

Moral of the story - if you purchase your phone through the reservations system be prepared to wait if your carrier system is down. There is no way they can let you leave the store without the phone because they can't do the final ring out/activation process. They never explained what happened, but hopefully it never happens again.

Good luck getting phones everyone - apple store reservations seems to be a faster process than ordering online for many of us. Go figure.

I can't wait to see what 10PM tonight brings......probably nothing once again.

I'm giving Apple a maximum 2 weeks. If I don't have an iP5 then I will be buying a Samsung Galaxy. Something I NEVER thought I'd hear myself say.

Very Little Supply

Hey all, I have been trying for 2 nights to snag a phone under the reservation system to no avail. I think Apple is just jerking us around. I think the best way to get one is to just order and wait the 3-4 weeks. Just think about it, with 22 more country's getting the Iphone this Friday, the inventory is going to those country's and not to the Apple Stores in the US. Sure there are a few success stories, congrats to those people. That is the exception and not the rule. Just my 2 cents.

Just checked my store for in store pickup and it showed this......
I guess it will be a while.

How did y'all get to that screen in the app? I just downloaded the app this morning & have my phone in the cart but of course the Pick up this item option is not available this time of day.

I had the same question yesterday. Apparently it has nothing to do with the online reservation system pickup. That's the latest date it will be available if you order it via the regular system. If you check the other locations, which have gotten inventory updated at 10pm, it will give you the same date of Nov. 7th.

scroll to the bottom where it says Pick up at store/tap to check availability at other stores

Go to the bottom of the screen - select the pick up store option. Just got the same thing for northern VA (Nov 7). So it's not linked to the inventory options.

This. I think the date you guys are seeing has nothing to do with the reservation system that gets updated nightly at 10

I believe when you use the app on your phone you get directed to this screen but I think this is if you decide to have it shipped to your home, not for the in store stock... I get the same thing too.

So because you can't get a new iPhone within 2 weeks of coming out, you're going to completely switch OS'es, go with a 2-3 month old phone, and use that for the next 1-2 years?

Oooooookay then. I know patience is hard, but seriously.
