I just was able to get a black 16gb ATT iPhone at my local apple store, selected that store, checked out, and my order says it will be shipped? The confirmation email also says a shipping time. Did I mess up somewhere? Or is that normal?

nope, you may have selected the wrong option. the email you got should've said:

We'll send you an email when
your order is ready for pick up.

might be resorting to ordering from the verizon wireless site if this keeps up for another week. They have a ship date of 10/26/12 which is only 3 weeks away. might seem far but looking at apples shipping time to you, its at least an extra week and a half just to get to you. The date might go up but something to consider.

Ordered a black 16gb ATT phone and was able to select the Soho NY store.

Got an email saying my order is being processed.

What are the chances that I can pick it up tomorrow? Or am I just on a long list that may take days to get to me?
