I would just keep watch on it to see when it goes back up. I would assume once the store is live again that the stores will stock will show up accordingly.

iPhone 5 Reservation at Apple Store

Yeah, so now I have to keep refreshing the store to see if it's live then refresh for stock. I may just skip trying to get one tonight.
They could be doing a moment of silence and are getting ready to make the home page a tribute to Steve for tomorrow.
Also the fact that it's not Oct 5 in PST time zone. I think if there was a tribute to Steve then it would be on the main Apple page. I don't think this is related. Maybe since they know there are no phones on the west coast they are saving us the trouble of trying to find one😀
If that were the case then I would think they would take the whole site down and not just the store. Who the hell knows why they took it down, but they did it right at 10:02PM MST when all the iphone inventories update. Why couldn't they wait until after 10:00pm PST so at least everyone could get their reservations in tonight.

I got it. There's a glitch in the inventory system so it doesn't load up any Verizon iPhones. I bet if you go to the local Apple store they each have about 50 Verizon iphones and are wondering why the hell nobody is buying them. ha ha
How do you check to see if the Apple stores near you will have one to reserve for tomorrow? Every time I go through checkout and select pickup locally, all 3 Apple stores list out of stock. Is there an easier way than creating an order every time I want to see if one of the stores will have it?
You think YOU have it bad? I had one reserved, went to the Apple Store today, and they wouldn't give it to me! No explanation! They think that the website didn't register all my info properly.
You don't need to create a new order every time. Just leave your phone in the cart and go back the next day and view cart and check the store availability again.
Yes I do! I've been doing this reservation thing since it launched and have not even seen the one I want. At least you got to see your model in stock. 😉
Edit: Sorry... Just re-read your post. Yeah, you got it bad.
My theory is that we're all having hallucinations from staring at the site for so long. The store probably never went down -- and they probably have plenty of VZW phones, too.
