iPhone 5 Reservation at Apple Store

My question is this....I had to add a line with AT&T in order to get the 5. So its on order and still waiting. If I were to find another one online tonight for next day pickup how do I do it? Apple site makes me add my current number which is primary on the account, (not available for upgrade). So it forces me to pay the "no contract" price. If I enter my new added line phone number it gives an error.

So once a phone is on order with AT&T or whoever....how do I get a phone via the Apple store?

Can you cancel the AT&T order since now you have a reserved one? I preordered through Apple and got tired of waiting so I cancelled it and just reserved tonight.
 
found one! 16GB only, and black... not the 32 GB I wanted. But there was some inventory for most Verizon models scattered throughout Florida!

They were able to do it for me last year when I got the iPhone 4S. I thought it was gonna be too complicated of a process for them to do but the Apple Store sales people knew what to do! :) Good luck!
 
Is this updated at 10pm Local time or 10pm Eastern? I'm not seeing any Verizon stock in Huntsville, AL.

If I cancelled my AT&T order I would be starting from scratch....thats my question is how are people getting one on the Apple site at 10p when they already have one on order? The Apple site will see your line as ineligable for upgrade since technically one is on order. So it wants you to pay the full no contract price. I am confused. I would like to try to snag one tonight at 10pm my local time if I can. I just don't know how :rolleyes:
 
Tonight Seems to be the Night of Verizon for NYC. To all those that got one with me congrats! And to those still looking good luck!

Just curious, is it anytime pickup tomorrow? For example, can I wait until 1pm to get it or do I have to be there at open?
 
I have been trying for about 7 or 8 nights in Southern CA, checking about 5 different counties - Nothing.... The stores must get very small quantities, if any... Hoping that tonight might show at least one store, but hard to be too optimistic. Hoping for a black Verizon 16, 32 or 64.

They have to e-mail you first, it will say "Your order is ready for pickup" Don't go until you get that email
 
Does anyone know - Will the confirmation for pickup email not come until the store opens tomorrow and someone is there to set it aside? Until i get the ready for pickup email, i'll be anxious to be 100% sure.
 
it looks like supply, white model, now meets the demand here in the east, NC, SC, GA.

black model runs out quickly last couple days in a few minutes. White model now remains available.

scuff issue does not stop people from selecting black as their favorite.
 
Whoa, I just scored a black 32GB VZW model at my local store! It didn't appear until 10:10pm or so.

Do I really have to pick it up within 24 hours? I don't see anything mentioning that in the email from Apple.

Wait until you get the email stating it's ready for pickup. Dont just go in at 10 tomorrow
