Yeah, exactly, no confirmation. The Chinese are just creating ******** cases that are just that...********. The iPhone 5 will look identically similar to the iPhone 4. I don't personally believe there ever was going to be a different design and that that myth was created by websites such as this one.
Yeah, the chinese just read rumor sites, produce cases based on rumors, which rumor sites pick up and it all spirals into a frenzy of "the new iPhone 5 design!" which then turns up not to be true. I bet all of this can be followed back to cultofmac or 9to5mac as the official source.
And then we're left wondering where the hell did Page 2 go for this kind of crap.
Apple CEO office
Staffer - "excuse me Mr. Cook, another contradictory report has made its way onto the internet as scheduled. All is going to plan"
Tim Cook [solemn expressison] "and are people getting frustrated by our lack of official information?"
Staffer - "Yes Mr. Cook, it's starting to verge on a mixture of pandemonium, confusion, mistrust, hope, fear, and a lot of male testosterone"...
Tim Cook - "Male testosterone you say" [rub's hands in a Montgommery Burns fashion] "Excellent....."

I know that you have fairly strong convictions on this, but have you considered that this may in-fact be the iPhone 5? What is going to happen after you've spent months decrying these rumors and it ends up being true?
Lets just wait and see?
What motivation does a chinese case maker, who does not own a website to generate revenue off of page hits, have to make an iphone case based off a rumored design that isn't real?
Be ready to ship cases on day 1 and make tons of money.
Does anyone care to explain to me the draw of the elongated home button? Just looks ugly to me.
Were there any iPhone 4 cases that came out before the iPhone 4 was revealed? (not counting Gizmodo....)

You made the comment on the presumption that is was known fake. Don't you think the case manufacturers would have better sources than the general public? And why would they make a case on a hunch when fractions of a mm will matter for their final product?
It would have to be a multi-finger swipe, which would only work if you were using two hands to operate the phone. The vast majority of the time I use my phone, I am only using one hand. If the home button is touch sensitive, a swipe could be done there using just the thumb.
Absolutely looks to be around 4". The SCREEN protector extends out around the entire IP4. I'm sure there is someone on here that can approximate screen size. But i'm saying right around 4"
I'm sorry...what? You're gonna need to clean that up a bit if you expect any of us to understand you.

I think we should just chill on all these leaks, all it does is build hype and eventually will generate disappointment..
It's sad to see the lack of endurance amongst the younger generation of rumors newbies - - with a join date of August 2011, you'd think they'd be able to sustain interest for at least a couple of minutes.

if the larger home button is real, and is larger to allow for swipes etc, wouldn't there be something in the iOS5 betas that point to extra inputs?
it does make sense to have something though. they've crammed a lot of things onto that home button with multitasking, lock screen transport controls etc
The Samsung Galaxy S II is 8.49 mm thick to the iPhone 4's 9.3 mm. It has a 4.3" screen to the iPhone 4's 3.5".
Care to explain to all of us here how thickness and screen size are related ? Because I don't quite understand your line of thought.
Also, the Galaxy S II is 125 mm x 66 mm to the iPhone 4's 115 mm by 58 mm. That's hardly any bigger, quite something you can still consider a phone.
I think your signature is quite apt, the reality you live in seems quite the illusion indeed.
