Sure, that could be true; it's possible and a common lament these days, but you understand that you've now pigeon-holed your definition of "innovation" into only being about aesthetics right?
Don't even get me started on the much outdated and stale looking iOS. They can redesign the phone itself to look completely different, but if still running the same old iOS, it doesn't look new to me at all. iOS6 is just more of the same, and overall looks the same as from 2007.
- Home screen with app drawer left open style
- The Fischer-Price toy theme throughout the phone, the same since it launched fiver years ago, is extremely kiddy and lame looking already.
- No Widgets on the home screen yet ? At least allow it as an option, and let the user decide if they want them or not. If you don't like Widgets on your home screen, don't use them, but others might like the option.
- 4" taller, but not wider screen LOL LOL
- App icons the same for five years now, LOL. Come on Apple, try something fresh and cool like you used to. I would love a Windows Phone "live" app icon, allow the weather icon to show today's' true temperature, and have it picture cloudy if raining. But no, it always shows 73 degrees and sunny, even if it is freezing winter time, that is very outdated for 2012.
