If Apple ever brings widgets to the iPhone... They most likely won't be on the home screen, they will probly be on some form of the "Dashboard" for OSX, but in iOS form.

Right now you swipe to the page on the left of the home screen page 1, and you find search (which I have never used btw, it just annoys me)... Maybe down the road, we will see it converted into a dashboard like on our Mac's... Where the search bar is on top, but the keyboard doesn't show up right away (only when you click on the search bar to type something) and the screen is filled with Native Widgets of your choosing, eventually allowing downloads from the app store.
 
Someone keeps talking about some huge billion dollar deal Apple made with LG for 4.3" screens. So that is my guess. I feel like I remember that last year during the Tapered design rumors. but yea

A couple of people mentioned it on other threads, but I can't find anything online about it. I found were Apple made 3.9 billion dollar investment because LG could not keep up with demand for displays for the iPad.
