I tried this last year and they told me they had to do one attempted delivery. How did you get this done?
my order went through at 12:06 and is still Preparing for Shipment. not a problem, just anxious. weird seeing that people with orders placed at 12:30 had theirs shipped already. just wish it was friday already...new phone and the weekend

The phones for those that ordered early may already been in destination country storage, they've been busy making them since early August. Phones for later orders were not made yet to there was a logistics rush to get them off the production line and start on their long distance way. . there was not so much of a logistics rush for phones already in country, so the logistics for those are a lower priority. There are some exceptions, however. The phones I ordered later have already been scanned and are with UPS, the one I ordered early not. Same phone model.
You see a wide variability because the in country stock of the 16GB black ATT may be completely different than the 64GB Verizon, and the customer demand may not be as expected.
So I preordered at a Verizon Wireless store on Friday early morning. On the VZ website it still says "Preparing for shipping" with no tracking information. How do I get that tracking information?
i didnt pre order either but i'm not using best buy rather the apple store 5 minutes from my house..pretty sure i will have mine before you will

When I bought the 4, I went to a location: 1) With actual supply (something that might go rather quickly) 2) With what was considered a short line. 3) later in the afternoon/evening.. I still waited 2 hours.

plus the iphone 5 will have more demand considering 8 million sold.

I got my order in at 12:20 AM and it's still listed as preparing for shipment. Not worried though. I am sure it will arrive as intended on the 21st.
Sign up for UPS MyChoice, but I believe the free version has to attempt 1 delivery (without permission from the shipper) while the paid one will let you schedule/hold at will.

Mine left Chek Lap Kok, Hong Kong at 9:34 also.
how do you know its going to Oklahoma city?
Actually looking forward to it and it's in a mall so at least I know nobody can like up before 5am
