Ordered 9/16, status just changed this morning to "preparing for shipment " with an 10-10 to 10 16 delivery date.
This might be my worst Apple shipping experience.
The iPad3 was bad, but this is just stupid.
Thank god I did not order one through a carrier, because those people are really screwed. They hae a Nano SIM, no matching phone to use it in and they are already paying for a contract.
Total BS. No status change for a week. I'm guessing I'm also pushed to November.
(My iPad3 was also horrible, because they reserved the amount on my CC three times, delivering only one. So 2700 Euro was screwing up my limit)

amazing that i ordered my phone from my carrier today and will come tuesday. didn't expect it that early.
Ordered mine on the 17th. Finally saw the "Preparing for Shipment" on my order page at about noon today. I can't complain that Apple isn't delivering in the dates that they estimated at the time of ordering. What really bugs me is that others who have ordered after I did, have gotten their phones even a week or two ago. My dad ordered the same phone, same carrier on the 19th. It got delivered on the 25th.
Ordered 9/20 from Apple.com. They've charged me for Apple Care already, but called Apple and they said it wouldn't kick in until I activated my phone. Order has not left "Processing" status. They've had another riot in China, so not particularly hopeful. Not happy that others who ordered after I did are getting theirs, but life as we know it on the planet will go on....
Only ordered on 10/01/12 from ROGERS. They're back ordered so I really have no idea when it will ship. Upgrading from the 4s, and i'm excited.

Would love to see this happen to mine on this Friday. I ordered the 3rd so if I have your same time table I'll see mine shipped on the 12th. But I'm thinking that's a bit of wishful thinking but oh well!

ordered mine on Sep. 17 via theStore. Estimated delivery says Oct. 04 - 09.
Its still on processing. I don't think its gonna be here (Germany) by tuesday.
Am in exactly the same situation as you, ordered on the 16th, and its still processing with an estimated delivery 04-09 october.
Apple has usually been pretty quick with the delivery
WOW! I ordered online from Verizon on 9/28 got a ship date of 10/26 and that's the way it sits.
I suggest you all cancel your orders and reserve one online for next day pickup. I had one on ordered from Sprint on the 18th and by September 28th, my status didn't change. I reserved one on the 28th and picked it up the next day and asked for a refund from Sprint which I got yesterday. So much quicker and easier.

Well have fun with it u lucky S.O.B. lol. I'm kinda pissed to be honest. Apple I thought you were better than this. My co-worker also ordered his on 9-16 from AT&T and got his 10-2. Apple I'm almost to the point where ima say f u and buy me Samsung galaxy s3 for half the price with more memory and a way bigger screen and WAY more options!!!!!!! Ship my f ing phone plz
