I think the 32 and 64 gb models are less in demand that the 16gb... I think if you ordered a 16 that you will have to wait the full time. The only people I see getting them early is the people who ordered the bigger memory models. I hope I'm wrong as I have a 16gb black on order myself.
I hope that's true. My two 16s are supposed to ship from Verizon on Friday, I hope they can ship early and be here this week.

It'll depend on where you live and your provider. The only way you can find out definitively is to call all of your local stores.
I tried late last week with no luck. My order was 3 weeks in an still processing. I called 7 local Apple Stores (Burlington MA, Braintree MA, Providence RI, Chestnut Hill, Hingham, Dedham, and Boylston Street) as well as a bunch of AT&t stores. Nothing, and no one had much idea of when their next shipment would arrive.
I ordered it from ATT on 27th September. Any Idea when it will ship?

Radio Shack had a few when I spoke to the guy yesterday but only for Sprint because nobody wanted them because they don't offer 4G speed... Well that's what he told me... I don't know anything about Sprint, I have had Verizon for the last 10 years...
When did Apple change the in store pickup option to 10pm PST to 10pm EST (or local?) - I checked it the first day it had that option at 10pm EST and it didn't work, but it was open 10pm PST...I checked last night and it was active from 10pm EST...nothing for the various zip codes here in South Florida though
Depends on model. 16GB Black here on 9/25 and waiting. I saw a guy get his in 2 weeks for a 64GB model. It looks like 16GB black is 9/21 orders for AT&T are what was shipped last. So you realistically have 1.5 to 2 weeks till shipped.
Yes this is normal. AT&T is going by BUSINESS days...M-F. You haven't even hit the 14th mark yet. You'll probably get off b/o by the end of next week.
CHECK THE STORES! When they pulled my phone out of the drawer I noticed unclaimed iPhones! I asked him about them and he said they have 32's and 64's in stock. He said they got them last week so if you can still cancel your order try and find them in stores.

i have been calling around and they have some white 16gb and black 32gb. no 16gb in black. im thinking of changing to 32 just cause places have them. what happens if my phone has a flaw out of the box since i dont have an apple store?
Well, by the time I'm due for an upgrade on Nov 10th, hopefully I can leave head to Best Buy and get one the same day .
Glad I didn't hassle with trying to get an early upgrade. Went to an AT&T store this weekend, and because i'm >45 days out, they said I could order one, but they had no idea when it would come in, so might as well just wait it out a few more weeks.
