iPhone 5 Shipped Thread

2 Verizon 16GB black iPhones shipped yesterday and should come on Thursday. It was supposed to ship on the 19th :D

What really boggles my mind is when I check my order status from www.wireless.att.com/order_status/order_status I get this:

OS001: We apologize for the inconvenience. We cannot complete your request at this time. Please wait at least 24 hrs from placing your order, before checking the status of your order online. If the problem persists, please call us at 1-800-331-0500 for further assistance. NOTE: An email may have been sent to your email address on file. Please check your email which may have additional information about your order.

I've tried calling that 800 number but had no luck. It's nearly impossible to get a hold of an actual human being from AT&T regarding order status.

Tomorrow will mark the 14th business day. Here's hoping the status changes soon, it's been a long wait!

p.s. Anyone else have a similar experience as me?

Check your emails, you should only get that message you are getting for the first 24 hours (it was only 6 for me). It might be messed up.

When you call just mash buttons like an idiot. It will usually forward you to a human.

I went to Sam's Club today and was in luck. They had about 15 iPhone 5's 16gb black for AT&T. I immediately cancelled my order from AT&T and purchased one. Thanks for the great tip! Probably saved me 2 weeks !!

Hey no problem, just trying to help people out! Glad you got it, I've already waited about 15 days so I figured I can wait another 5-10 days and not have to deal with att's cancellation crap.

They wouldn't let me cancel because I ordered on the phone but I know for a fact if I make a stink they will do it. I'm just burnt out on them so ill shut up and wait. Glad this worked for someone though
 
I just ordered a lightning cable about 10 minutes because of it being a 1-2 week wait. I figured the phone and the cable will arrive around the same time. The cord is prepared for shipping. For some reason this made me really mad. I thought I was handling this phone thing pretty well up until now.

I currently have a couple of phone wallets. I'm guessing in a couple of days I will have a cord and no phone.
 
It's the first time I've felt anxious rather than excited about ordering an Apple product ...it might be flawless or it might have any or all of the problems, and for me it would be returning by post. Or driving 500km to nearest Genius Bar!
Waiting 3 or more weeks to get it, another long wait to replace it would not be ideal.

Looking on the bright side, despite estimated 2-3 week wait the lightning adaptor is shipping already (ordered along with phone 2 days ago). I'm taking this as a good omen that my phone will be a model of unscratched, undented perfection.

Plus 2 of the phones had about 8months left on contract. I told ATT we would pay cancel fees and goto bigV. They said we will take care of that for you and charged us 199/phone, waived upgrade fee & shipping

Must be a memo out from apple 'sell all as many as you can'

I am happy to be back on IOS coming from my samsung S2. The other two phones are an IPhone4 and 4S. Android was cool for 3months. With android is seems like you never get updates unless you flash custom roms Or leaked roms, or betas. The unstable ROM DEV sucks with android. Google/samsung never upgrade them in a timely manner, its sad.
 
Anyone here who ordered at the apple online store on or after oct 4th, with order status " preparing for shipment" ? I'm really frustrated of waiting, but have no other choice :(.
 
Ordered Sep 21st, shipped today. Apple's delivery estimate was "Oct 24 - Oct 30", UPS's estimate is Oct 23. (I'm in Canada).

Received my iPhone 5 today via FedEx. Took one week from the day the order was placed.
 
I ordered my 16 GB iPhone 5 from AT&T on September 23, 2012. Until today, it's been on backorder. Finally, my iPhone's order status has been changed from "Qty. Backordered" to "Qty. Ordered".

I was growing a little impatient and considered canceling my order, but now that I know it's ordered and not on backorder, I'll be fine.

which color? I ordered a white one on the same day.

I ordered from apple online on oct. 6. AT&T 32 black mines still says processing.

UPDATE: I ordered AppleCare+ together with the iPhone, and today, the AppleCare+ went from Processing to "Complete" status. The phone is still Processing though. Don't know if it means anything, but is certainly nice to see ANY kind of change on that much visited page :)
