i ordered a 16gb black iphone 5 from verizon on 10/3 and still havent been charged on the credit card, verizon still says "we have received your order and its in process" seems like everyone else is having better luck than i am.

I ordered a 16gb black on 10/5 from Verizon. I have a 10/26 ship date...Based on other 16gb orders we should be charged and receive shipping info on Monday or Tuesday. Hopefully

My CC was charged on Friday, shipment is preparing today (Sunday). I think it switched over in the last few hours.

Fedex home delivery sucks! The website said that my shipment is ineligible for "hold at Fedex location for pickup." They're supposed to deliver on Tuesday and I won't be home when they deliver! It also said "Indirect signature confirmation," which means anyone, including neighbors (what??) and random people can sign for it.

So hopefully they'll leave a slip on my door so I can drive to a Fedex location Tuesday evening to pick it up.

I've got the same phone as your pre-ordered, same date. Just checked and mine got changed too. Very exciting. And I also made the NY-OR move!

Wow, I just ordered yesterday and it's already shipped!
Ordered the black 64GB from online AT&T Site yesterday and I got the email today at 11:30 saying that it has shipped from the Fortworth warehouse and is in transit to Austin. Got the UPS tracking number too, although for some reason it still doesn't show when I can expect delivery. I bet it will say tomorrow. Awesome.

Did it originally say it was backordered?

Did it originally say it was backordered?

I just checked and I never saw the word "backordered" anywhere. It just said "Your iPhone will ship in approximately 14 - 21 business days.", then the next day it said it was shipped. This morning I checked again and it says this:

I agree! I've played around with the phone they have in store, and the phone is very impressive.
