'iPhone 5' Silicone Sleeves Already Arriving at AT&T Retail Stores

Is it just me... or has half this conversation been people asking this question?
I wish they asked this on all the other postings that we've seen.. Because most of the iPhone 4S rumours could be discredited in exactly the same way.
Anyway. Few more days to go folks, and we'll all know.

BTW..... Just a bit of a reminder to people, that aside from a very accurate mock-up, there wasn't an awful lot of the iPad2 to be found either. Don't write the iPhone 5 off just yet. Apple have been getting savvy as to how these leaks were occurring in the past.
I'm just asking because this website is claiming that these were leaked by an AT&T retail employer when in fact there is absolutely no proof that this picture was taken by an AT&T employee or even at an AT&T store.. Believe me I hope it's true. I've had a 3GS for 2 damn years.
They have gotten even better, instead of trying to keep quiet, they are just flooding the Internet with conflicting stories. No one has any idea what to believe.
Oh, my point is that there is that we're acting on faith that the source of these photos are rumours is actually honest. The reality is that unless we had the AT&T workers ID slapped next to every photo, there will always be someone unsatisfied. Even then, someone would simply claim that the said AT&T worker went around the corner and bought one somewhere else. Even if the case actually WAS from AT&T.
We have to have faith that Macrumors have done their homework on this. Just like with everything else. Merely stating the same question is... well... kinda defeating the point of being on a rumours site, if you want such hard answers.

What if the iPhone "4S" has been in production now to see parts leaking from China. Apple doesn't mind because it deflects attention from the mysterious iPhone 5.

Agree! And that's how they work. Seriously, when you've got companies like Samsung, HTC etc. that are making moves to clone everything you have, it's in Apple's best interests to do so.

As I pointed out before. We knew practically nothing of the iPad 2.
No one... No one at all knew about the revised Mac Mini without an optical drive.
It makes sense that apple would keep the media in a state of confusion as well. It's the social equivalent of apple shoving a cover on their phones that looks like another phone. Allows the real facts to get lost in the miasma.
Actually, in all honesty I think the most important thing we've missed with rumours in the last 12 months is the Samsung factor. The company is attempting to clone Apple devices so closely, that as a large producer of Apple's parts, it would be ridiculous for them not to know, at least in part, what is going into these devices. We should be looking at the stuff that Samsung have been intending to bring out, because they're likely to be trying to rush to the post first.
Maybe a brand new iPhone 5 to be announced on Tuesday... and they will completely begin production that evening?
That's the only way I can see it being kept secret for so long: they haven't even turned on the factories yet for the new redesigned iPhone 5.
So how quickly can they produce that first million?
wait... So when people thought the design was going to be similar or identical to the iPhone 4, they were all sad, but when it turns out it could have a tapered design like the older 3GS, they were happy?
I dunno, I've still got the 3GS and think the iPhone 4's design is way cooler. I'd say this would be a step backwards.

It seems were all pretty sure this is going to be Tim Cook's first event where he will release new products as the main presenter.

I reckon if they only released an iPhone 4S in its current rumoured form factor next week, there would be stacks of disappointed people, and frankly I'm not sure sales would go down terribly well.(could be wrong)
Given the above I really dont reckon Apple would take that risk on Tim. They will be trying to make a good impression with Tim, and to have disappointed people walking away from his first major release presentation would reflect badly on Apple and set the wrong impression for Tim Cook. Its going to be bad enough when the time comes that SJ will no longer present.
So based on this, I feel iPhone 5 is coming. (this is what I'm telling myself anyway)

I'm guessing you didn't pay too close attention to the news. Someone actually contacted Otterbox, and was informed that Otterbox were only basing their case on 'Current news out in the community'. Ie. the rubbish being posted on this site.
Essentially this is just a result of acyclic argument, when it came to the Otterbox design, the egg definitely came before the chicken.
Otterbox clarified that those packages were just packages without Cases. They were just getting ready the Packages for iPhone 4S so that, after announcement, the only job remaining is to make Cases only. More proof is that there was no picture of iPhone 4S on the front cover which Otterbox always has(like in case of iPhone 4). There is something fishy with these iPhone 5 Cases because there is no smoke without fire.
This is proof enough for me.

Ar first I had the feeling "yes this is it!". Proof of a redesigned iPhone 5. No way AT&T is putting this in their inventories if this is not the right case. But... I haven't seen any proof that this is an AT&T store, that it's a well known case manufacturer or anything alse that makes this more legitimate then the already circulating Chinese cases. So I'm still not convinced.
Apple hid the iPhone 5 very well from us this year. But regardless, evidence is always there, like the cases. Can't till Tuesday!

Apparently the updated 4 is needed because otherwise the 5 will be the only iPhone to offer all of iOS5's functions. The current 4 is not up to everything it will offer.

thattttt. people going to think it haves problems whit the antenna and they won't buy like the iPhone 4 that apple gave free cases they don't what to do that again
