Wow, most impressive.
Safari seems snappier now.
Hi Kaptajn,
Not sure if you're being serious or not
I defiantly love it's new speed
I'm not going to try your name
As far as the camera--I've still got a 4s and 4 in house. My wife is now using the 4s. I'm getting ready to sell the '4'--but to me, I've noticed marked improvement with each generation on the camera of the iPhone. This may be a less 'significant' change---or even less obvious, BUT---the areas the COULD improve, they DID! They took time with alignment of the lenses, opening up to f2.2 (from 2.4 in the 4s) AND the addition of sapphire lens coating. This is HUGE for protection!!!
I think another big deal is the actual 'screen' on the 5. It's definitely MUCH more accurate with it's color gamut, ala the 'new' iPad. These displays...and the new retina MBP, are significantly better displays then we've ever seen in 'consumer' devices...Color gamuts, without shift--very accurate and vibrant...and EASY to see in the sunshine. These factors help in the look of the photos and video post 'taking' the shot for sure! As well---I think the video has improved significantly. Still capture in low light seems obvious with many of the tests online as well. However...hopefully not at the expense of perceived 'sharpness' with over bearing noise reduction.
I'm hoping to get out this weekend...especially with the change in colors in the trees as we move in to fall...try to capture shots from both the 4s and 5 and play around in Aperture.
At this point, I don't think it matters---in my opinion, other than these two Nokias...the iPhone 4s and 5 cameras are still top of the heap in cell phone cams. It's not about megapixels any longer. These lenses are too small and will get way too noisy if the manufacturers continue to increase the pixel density. It's cool to see Apple focusing more on the lenses themselves...and hopefully the software capture algorithms. These are vital areas for the final product to 'look better' than the last iteration, IMHO
