Nope, not me.

I'm holding out for the iPhone 6-HDs (Hi Def, second edition). And from the rumors I read from touted Best Buy, AT&T, and Radio Shack employees, I should only have to wait until they announce it 1 month after they release the iPhone 5.

I'm comfortable with my White iPhone 4 and will not spend money on a 5. There should not be that much of an overhaul.

No offense but I really doubt it (from my own experience)

Even you just get the White iPhone 4 recently, iPhone 4 is last year technology. When iPhone 5 comes out with many new things you will change your mind :D

How the hell is this absurd? You're forgetting that the majority of the market isn't like us.

People are still buying 3GS's!!!!!! Why? They don't need the latest and greatest. They want an iPhone.

Maybe it would he absurd for an educated macrumors user to buy a 4 now with the prospect of the next generation, but not for everyone.

My dad has had a 3G for 2 years. I used it recently and it is an absolute nightmare. I encouraged him to get a 4 when his upgrade is up, but to wait until after WWDC just to be sure. A 4 would be a night and day difference for him, and make perfect sense. Whether or not it's "11 year old technology," it's still a great phone.

You took the words right out of my mouth. I just got the iPhone 4 for Verizon because I couldn't take it anymore with my BlackBerry Storm 2. I upgraded Sunday and I'm satisfied until 2013.

But you couldn't say it any better! Kudos to you!

iPhone 4 now vs iPhone 5 whenever

I have pretty much decided to go ahead with iPhone 4s for me and my wife. The 4 is a superb phone, and if/when the 5 does come out, I will let it mature until IOS5 is stable - and hop on in 2 years to that or whatever iPhone version out by then.

i think because we havent seen anything in terms of leaks or pictures leads me to believe that either iPhone 5 wont be out this June, or Apple are keeping it incredibly tight lipped.

Every iPhone has been a major update IMO. The 3G and 3GS are huge upgrades in their own respective features.

Anyway's, I'm trying to wait for iPhone 5. my 3GS is fine, but I just want something newer - and if I do upgrade now, it'll be the same scenario down the road. I'll just wait. I have an original iphone next to me and whenever I play with it, it reminds me how awesome my 3GS is

XD

Speaking speculatively of course, I am inclined to agree with you. Last year at this time, there were tons of leaks about specs, parts, etc. This year- VERY little... I don't think Apple could keep such a tight lid on things that we wouldn't see any significant leaks by this point in time.
I think the 5 will be released sometime in the Fall, just in time to create a holiday buying frenzy!;) From a marketing perspective, that really makes more sense anyway. A release schedule that shifts things closer to 'brand new and on time for the holidays' just works!

People are buying the 3GS at a discounted price... You dont have to be a tech geek or frequent forums to know that the white iPhone Apple just released is the same as the black iPhone 4 that they released 11 months ago.

I am no marketing expert, but wouldn't it make more sense for Apple to have two marketing frenzies? One at the launch and then another one around the holidays?
