iPhone 5c Cases Begin Arriving to Pre-Order Customers

I gotta say, I like it. I've had the same iffy opinion as many of you prior to getting and actually feeling the case up close. I think the way the case is made makes up for its wacky design - which really just comes down to personal taste.
Anyone else think Apples having a bit of fun....its their "non" phone (just a re wrapped 5!)

The case is quite ugly in my opinion, even not considering the writing. When they presented it they took special care specifying that it wasn't a last minute thought, but that's exactly how it looks. They're even self conscious about it, if you look at the presentation the first images they show don't have any writing!

If it were the 80's again or if retro 80s was cool again like it was for 3 months 1 1/2 years ago it would be cool but it's not and this is terrible!
I'm scared to even install ios 7 on my 4s because once I do, there will be no going back.

how's it samsung fanboys? wasn't it all apple fanboys who bashed samsung S3/4 for having "cheap plastic"..where are they now? are they all loving plastic iPhone?
almost everyone agrees "hon" phone and the plastic case are ugly...of course couple people will like them and probably sell really well but on this forum and online, it's almost unanimous..crocs..or lumia, plastic..take your pick
Ha, true, that takes me back. I recall the flower power and dalmatian-printed G3 iMacs from back in the day and those damn hockey puck mice...
Ive was responsible for those mice. Now that he's in charge of the whole product range, there's serious risk of similar design disasters occurring - the first being this case for all the listed reasons (ugly, dirt and grit etching circles into the plastic, partial text).
Magic Mouse? Tragic Mouse, more like.

I thought the same thing! Why would you create a case with so many holes in it?? Like you said, dust, dirt, particles...and forget bringing it to the beach cause the sand will just get stuck in every hole! Ridiculous! I'm actually beginning to wonder if it IS reverse psychology... Apple makes an ugly case to say.. don't put a case on the iPhone!!

It's a different material. Inert and very flexible (rubber-like). Good choice for a cover (apart from the holes!).

What would you say about Nokia's offerings? So many pathetic responses it's a hate fest around here as if there aren't enough third party cases out there to fit everyone's taste.
iPhone 5C looks much better than these do... Slimmer too. The colors Apple picked are standard CMYK colors, it doesn't mean they copied other manufacturers and they've been using colors on iPods for years now.

For the life of me, I cannot believe that they have actually tried out those covers on the finished casing... meaning the casing with the logo, and the IFC texting! I simpky do not believe it! It have to have been designed around the casing without any text on the back... it has to! Noone in their right mind would put this casing on, see the text showing through the holes and go... "hmmm... that looks really cool! And hey... lets market this with the conviction that these cases were not an afterthought but was allways part of the design!!" No bloody way!
I actually think that if I look beyond the non, and imagine those colored cases without any text showing through those holes, I actually think this idea of being able to change the phones look and feel everyday if you like, is spot on for the demographic Group that the 5C is tageting, but that "non" or "hon" or whatever you like, is just such and enormous blunder!! Sad!!

That's a sub $200 phone. 2 completely different price points.
At least post a photo of the 720, which is still a couple of hundred dollars cheaper than the 5C, and .3mm "thicker" than the 5C. A very accomplished "plastic" design, but still not seen as a direct competitor to the iPhone.
