Gold is apparently a hot commodity. My sister ordere one and got the 7-10 days but if she switched colors got much shorter times. She wants gold though so she's waiting.

Mom and I have been in a line at an Apple store for 4 hours already. 12th in line. Hoping to have my pick soon enough.

For anyone that had problems with the shipping address defaulting to your wireless billing address, I was able to change the shipping address over the phone (even though the website wouldn't let me change the address, citing wireless carrier policy). It was very easy, other than waiting 45 minutes on hold before speaking with a rep. Good night and good luck.
 
I think a lot of people are confused about the product being AVAILABLE to ship and how long it will take TO ship.

It is available to ship in 1-3 days. Then it will ship from China which will take longer to get here which is why the delivery is Sept. 30 to Oct 1st for most of the orders that went in right away.

The 1-3 days is not the shipping time, it is how long before it will leave the factory in China.
 
Interestingly, T-Mobile's website still has it for 1-3 business day shipment. I wanted to try out T-Mobile anyway, so I opted for that. If I don't like it, I'll cancel. :D

For some reason, new customers are having no issues with TMo's online store. Current customers aren't being allowed to upgrade!

What I clicked on said unlocked. The "processing" email I received said unlocked. But when I log into the store to check on my order, it doesn't say unlocked. Color me concerned. :confused:

She said that it is indeed unlocked it just ships with a T-Mobile SIM, I also ordered that model. So no worries.

It's weird to see it empty since I've read a couple of people saying they are in line in position #765985...

I was able to place the order for a white and gold 64 GB iPhone 5S without any problems from the website, (unlike the 4S process), but it's not shipping until freaking October, and it's not narrowed down at all... could be Halloween before it ships :rolleyes:

Kind of annoying, but at least it will show up eventually :cool:
 
Check out Best Buy for anyone not having luck anywhere else.

I'm just saying it's worth a look. I didn't see Gold anywhere in my state with any carrier. There are Silver available though in many sizes still at most stores.

But yeah, if you want the Gold, best order online via Apple directly.
 
Yup was able to order a Verizon 32GB iPhone 5s in Space Gray for in store pick up! I'm happy just not to wait in line
 
Looks like the golds are to first to hit back order. Guess they didn't see so many people taking a liking to it.
 
Darn "subsidized" versions are still shipping in 1-3 business days but the non-contract/T-Mobile ones aren't shipping for 7-10, at least now after an hour. Oh, well. No sense extending my contract and getting a locked phone over $200.

Doesn't say much about T-Mobile's customer service. Either that or someone really screwed up over there regarding the setup of the service. I don't understand why I can't opt not to extend my contract and just pay the full price no matter who my carrier is. Verizon phones are unlocked by virtue of their license with the FCC. AT&T allows device-only purchases, and T-Mobile has opted for an installment payment model.

Sorry bro, I wasn't trying to insult you.. It's just annoying that the 64 gb gold & white devices are so limited in availability.. I would have thought getting an order in within the first hour would have been plenty early..

Apparently not.

Sorry to hear that, but at least I'm not the only one having AT&T issues. They keep telling me there is a problem with my account. This account has been in good standing for 10 years!
