It did take a few extra minutes at the ATT store to make sure they did it correctly, but it did work.

I guess that's part of Apple's plan (per MacRumors a few months ago) to increase the percentage of iPhones sold through their own stores rather than carriers.
Just got a 64GB 5S from Verizon's page. I checked to see if they had it up early, and guess what? It was. It was like 2:50 EST, guess Verizon couldn't hold their load. But hey, I'm a happy customer now![]()

Oh, yeah - I'm not saying it's intentional, but they definitely messed up this launch.
Nobody in the stores seems sure about if/when they'll get the 5S and how many they might get. I phoned up a 3rd-party reseller yesterday and they told me they'd have them; turned up today to find out they were wrong (and I wasn't the only one).
It doesn't say anywhere on the website that the 5S is an Apple Store exclusive for the time being, but that's what people on the ground are telling me. Lots of confusion.
According to twitter, lots of people waited overnight and were disappointed by exceptionally low stock and thoroughly misjudged demand for the gold models.

Has anyone who ordered a store pickup from Best Buy gotten a confirmation email saying it is available? I know I ordered mine and it is still on the step for them to confirm inventory. I know that they changed the website after I ordered to "In-Store Only", I am wondering if they are going to cancel store pickups outright, wait until after customers who were waiting have purchased theirs have gotten them, or honor them, because normally when I order for a pickup they confirm before the store opens, but the store opened 40 minutes ago and there has been no word.
to the people who ordered gold, are you guys using the phone naked or what? it's so hard tos how off the gold since it's under where you usually put the case
