Ordered 32gb space gray (verizon) for instore pick up at Best Buy. Said it was in stock when I ordered it. I'll believe it when I pick it up :)
 
You can always use her upgrade and just activate it on your line instead. I did this a couple of years ago when my wife got her 4.

It did take a few extra minutes at the ATT store to make sure they did it correctly, but it did work.
Yeah, I could do that but not wanting to jack around with it.

AT&T has already charged my card for the one I ordered but the status still shows "Pending confirmation". I'm hoping that means they actually have one in stock and actually with ship it quickly. (If not, I'm annoyed that they charged the card already)

The iPhone app worked first and fast. It came up at like 3:02 from the "we are updating the store message"

I clicked through on 32gb Silver 5s in less than one minute and had email confirmation of the order before the Apple website was off the update message

I remember last year the iPhone app and apple store were not working for me for at least 15 min
 
Ordered 32GB gray model on AT&T through Apple mobile app and it says delivery between September 27 and October 2. Order placed at 4:21 Eastern.:)

It is 4 hours since ordering began (1 hour to go for Apple Stores to open on the east) and there are still showing 1-3 business days for many of the Grey and Silver iPhones (depending on size and carrier. Sprint is good for all sizes in both colors)

Glad I did not want the gold. It looks good but still not interested in owning one.
 
Apple changed the delivery address of my 5s order. Yay! Still on my Dad's contract, but I live in a different state currently. I hate AT&T policies about delivery addresses!

Delivers Sep 30 - Oct 2 by Standard Shipping

I had to call twice and wait on hold for about 40 minutes each time. The first CSR refused to change the address citing AT&T policy. But the second was OK with it.
 
Just ordered a 16gb silver through AT&T Premier for my wife's line... looks like a 7-14 day shipping estimate. In retrospect, I should have just ordered through Apple it looks like, especially if there's still a 1-3 day shipping time still being show. Of course, I suppose AT&T could be overestimating shipping to cover their butts. Oh well =P
 
Any enterprise users out there that have been able to order? I don't see the device on Verizon's enterprise center.

Terrible experience today @ midnight (3AM east cost). Woke up, opened the app, got 1-3 days for 64 GB ATT Gold… Then went to checkout and Apple told me it was time to update my Apple ID password. Had to open my computer, change the password, then tried to purchase again (via the website this time). But then Apple told me they could only ship to the billing address (WTF? do they think that people live at their billing address??). Ended up going to AT&T's website to change my address, but it did not register on the Apple Store. Just gave up and bought the phone on AT&T's website, but no estimated delivery date...
 
At Best Buy where they supposedly have stock showing online in Danvers MA. Employees going in store. Not sure if open early. A few people here. I work overnight so only reason I am here. Already ordered two space grey 32gb att.
 
I kinda agree with that. It's not something Apple is trying to do, but it can't squeeze blood out of a rock.

Oh, yeah - I'm not saying it's intentional, but they definitely messed up this launch.

Nobody in the stores seems sure about if/when they'll get the 5S and how many they might get. I phoned up a 3rd-party reseller yesterday and they told me they'd have them; turned up today to find out they were wrong (and I wasn't the only one).

It doesn't say anywhere on the website that the 5S is an Apple Store exclusive for the time being, but that's what people on the ground are telling me. Lots of confusion.

According to twitter, lots of people waited overnight and were disappointed by exceptionally low stock and thoroughly misjudged demand for the gold models.

When you mess up, you apologise.

Ordered without expedited shipping

I originally ordered without expedited shipping on my 32GB gold 5S, but called Apple to see about upgrading and to my surprise they waved the $10 fee. Very happy at the moment. :)
 
Has anyone who ordered a store pickup from Best Buy gotten a confirmation email saying it is available? I know I ordered mine and it is still on the step for them to confirm inventory. I know that they changed the website after I ordered to "In-Store Only", I am wondering if they are going to cancel store pickups outright, wait until after customers who were waiting have purchased theirs have gotten them, or honor them, because normally when I order for a pickup they confirm before the store opens, but the store opened 40 minutes ago and there has been no word.

I don't know man.. The fact I placed an order for a gold & white iPhone in the first hour of availability and get told it's not shipping until "sometime in October" is a distinct bummer..

Somebody seriously dropped the ball.

Same boat here. I have ZERO confidence that Best Buy will come though. Wouldn't be the first time BB did something like this.

EDIT: My order status shows - Confirming Store Inventory. That translates to "no chance in hell".
EDIT 2: I stand corrected. Just got a "Order ready to pickup" email.
