The specs are overwhelming IMHO. The biggest leap since the initial announcement of the 1st iPhone. I'm probably going to sell my iPhone 5 (1 year thru 2 year contract) and put that towards the full price of the iPhone 5s.

What do you think of the iPhone 5s now that we know everything?

Not impressed. The new colors will look awesome until they start to rub off.

New CPU is nice, but Apple's speed improvement claims are always a bit dodgy, aren't they? I doubt most users will see much difference (apart from confirmation bias), and do current phones really benefit from 64-bit CPUs? I'm sure Infinity Blade looks nice, but in these days of tablets, do people still play higher-end games on their little phones? Much of the perceived speed improvement will likely be due to OS 7 rather than the CPU.

Sure, the new camera is nice, but everyone knew that was coming anyway.

The fingerprint thing. I foresee some people having bugs/issues with this. Not sure why. Just a hunch.

Why do they still max out at 64GB? I don't get that.

I'm sure the 5C will do well for them, but my god do those things look like they came out of a child's toy box or someone's Tupperware drawer.

I still don't understand the screen resolution. 640? I mean come on, the Galaxy S3, released early last year had 720p. This year it got a rediculous 1080p screen... Iphone is still stuck with 640. I really like the 5s hardware, it has so much potential but with that screen resoultion and size, there is like no chance you'll even notice a difference between the 5 and the 5s. That and 128gb. Apple had the chance to make the perfect phone but it was just a high disappointment. I'll stick with my iphone 5, thank you very much.

It is hard to be overwhelmed these days with the sheer amount of accurate rumors. I do like the 5S and think it is a great phone, but I wasn't blown away by it, since I basically knew almost everything about it a month ago.

I'm pretty overwhelmed. I was planning on picking up a Note 3 instead of an iPhone this upgrade, but Apple actually taking that giant step and including a 64-bit processor has definitely brought me back to the fold.

Also, for people saying that 64-bit only matters for more than 4GB of RAM: that's wrong. The increase in addressing space is the whole reason for 64 over 32 bit. While having twice the precision on floating point numbers doesn't sound impressive, it opens SO much more room for higher quality applications.

I like the significant improvement of the A7 processor, and the iSight features. The fingerprint sensor I do seem to enjoy, but I dont know how I feel about the ring around the sensor, it takes away from the seamless look IMO. Overall I think it was ok; no overwhelming or underwhelming from me.

iphone 5 is fast already, an average usuer won't notice the difference 5s v 5 speed.

You will as time goes by. As devs continue to push the hardware and os the speed gap will increase especially in the games optimized for opengl es 3.

Overwhelm? Who? Why?

By the fact they had it in a dinky auditorium, a 1-hour met only, the whole set up spells ho-hum.

Reading about the leaks it was pretty much what I anticipated. The A7 64 bit was surprising. But really in afraid Apple has lost me. After playing around with android on my Nexus 7 I'm making the jump once my contact is up. Apple still has one iteration to go before I jump ship. But the ip6 needs to have a larger screen and iOS has to become more open.

Since I'm still using a 3 year old iPhone 4, I expect to be pretty damn impressed with my new 5S! Would have liked a little bigger display though.

I was impressed. I'm getting it. Camera looks to be among the best on the market and it's going to be even faster and smoother than the already fast iPhone 5. The battery life increase is pretty nice too.

Why do you need more megapixels?
We don't. People that know better have been saying for a while that larger sensors are better (larger pixels as Apple put it). More pixels in the same area tends to be worse.

Explain the 64bit performance to me please? Dont know that much about it.?
64-bit means a few things practically, and they all stem from the way addressing works. 64-bit as compared to 32-bit can speak to (or: address) more RAM, and can also interpret longer (or: more complex) instructions. This usually comes with a few trade-offs, it's going to be a more computationaly expensive CPU (or: more processing overhead).

At the moment, there probably isn't much of a benefit. We don't know how much RAM the iPhone 5S has, but I doubt it's beyond the limits of a 32-bit processor. Also, the only applications that will really benefit from 64-bit cpu instructions are likely to be the really complicated graphics applications. I'm not sure, but maybe Open GL ES 3.0 requires or supports 64-bit instructions. I don't really see anyone doing serious engineering on the iPhone/iPad, so it's likely only going to benefit games in the near-term. If it was equaly as fast as it's 32-bit counterpart, it would actually seem slower for regular tasks; however it's speed increase will likely more than compensate for that.

Coming from an iPhone 4S - definitely an amazing upgrade.

Yep, just think of it from a 4S user perspective:
- LTE (with compatible bands for ATT + Verizon + Tmo in one model)
- Amazing camera (dual led, image stabilization, slow mo, etc)
- A7 processor twice as fast as the iPhone 5
- Much improved battery life
- 4 inch screen
- 64bit iOS 7 (going forward all updates will be 64 bit driven and 32 bit updates will eventually be dropped)
- Touch ID

Sounds like an amazing upgrade for me too! :D

Those who have a 5, keep quiet, as this model wasn't meant for you anyways

It's just a standard upgrade I've come to expect from Apple for an 'S' model.

I was hoping for a 128GB option, or larger camera, but that'll likely be in the 6.

The 64-bit architecture is intriguing though.

That said, I'm still using a 4 and if I upgrade it'll be a 5C.

Underwhelmed, I'm leaning toward keeping my 4S and leaving AT&T for T Mobile. I'll just wait to see if the 6 is more impressive. A change to iOS7 should be enough to keep my 4S.

I am 'whelmed'. Satisfactory incremental changes that convinced me to move from the iPhone 4 I've been using for 2 years.

I'm quite happy with iPhone 5 for now, i don't see any reason for me to upgrade to 5s. I shall wait for the next release iPhone 6 with bigger screen 4.2 finger cross.

Looking forward to grab iPhone 5s case - what a beautiful leather case!!!

I'm not blown away by any means but I am happy with it. Granted I would have loved a bigger screen phone but we knew that wasn't coming so there was no point in being upset about it.

Better camera, processor and hopefully better battery life will hold me over until the iPhone 6.

My thought is, since ios7 comes out the 18th and I don't have to worry about pre-ordering, I will see how ios7 runs on my 4s and then decide if its worth it. The only thing I am worried about is my 4s running slow with ios7
