:( Does anyone out there really care about the forthcoming release of a minor iPhone 5s. Those of us in the know realize that we have to wait an entire year, Fall 2014, before we see something new from Apple but by then, other companies will have surpassed them again. This is really sicking from a once revered company like Apple. But you know the saying, "Innovation has left the building".:(

So what you are saying is that Apple should release a new iPhone every two years, because nobody wants the S models.

This could save Apple a lot of money, not having to produce a S model. You're a genius.

You really should apply for a job at Apple.

;)

5S will not have a slightly larger screen. It will be the same as the iphone 5. Larger screen may come later next year.

meant to say slighty larger than my current 4s. I'm not into big screens, but think the 5's proportions are good for me.

Tons of iPhone 4 and 4S owners probably care.

Agreed, I can see anyone with something older than a 5, maybe even 4S owners will not upgrade, not sure, I loved my 4S but had a free upgrade available on my account so got the 5 in September. I will not go for the 5S, waiting for next year's phone, but if it doesn't come out in June 2014, I might move to another phone, the HTC One, or wait for the Samsung Galaxy Note III or something.

I see these posts all too often and most of them are started by the very people who just bought the latest iPhone (or iPad). To me, it is often a way to appease themselves because they're unable to upgrade at the subsidized price making the phone well out of their reach. All I can say is that many will care about the iPhone 5s and many will buy it. Just like each and every other revision out there.

I've owned every iPhone since 2007. The iPhone 5 is the first iPhone I never felt the need to get. The iPhone 5S is shaping up to follow suit.

Well said, and I completely agree.

I went from iPhone 4 to iPhone 5. So I will not be getting the 5S. But I will get the iPhone 6. My iPhone 5 is good enough at the moment and best phone I have ever used.

I still have my 4s and I love it. I thought about getting the 5s I'm not even sure I'll do that because my 4s has not giving me any big issue like that.

Funny how the OP has not responded. More spamdroid

Reason: Just look at some of his other posts and replies and you will see a pattern of not liking the iPhone, so he comes here and posts and runs away, instead of just leaving and go to the Android forums instead. ;)

How come these actions are not moderated?

I do. The 5S should be a decent upgrade from my 4S.

I want a larger screen, more memory, better performance, better camera, LTE, etc. I'm a bit more concerned with iOS 7 though, if it isn't a major update I may just get an S4 or HTC One.

Like I mentioned in another thread I'm more concerned with software updates and that's usually what the "S" models bring.

For example I have a 4S that got things the 4 did not get software wise. However the 5 doesn't really have any additional features the 4S has. So the "S" models don't show their age as quickly considering my 4S is going on a year and a half old there is nothing the 5 offers that makes me want to upgrade.

The 5S will likely do the same thing. Same hardware but it will get software features the 5 won't (if it didn't it would be the same phone). Then when the 6 comes out the 5S will still be relevant.

I am also a fan of the "S" cycle, and with good reason. You usually get a more stable design in which the bugs are worked out of the previous. Antennagate for example, and I'm hoping that the 5S is less scratch or scuff-able, whatever you call it. You get all of the features of the previous with better computing power and camera.

I just hope apple doesn't pull some beta software crap like siri and it's forever in Beta because it is simply sub-par.

Not trying to start a flame war here, but for me I think its time to switch to android. In my opinion I just find the lack of options for the iPhone slightly frustrating as I quite like having a larger screen which can act as both a tablet and a phone at the same time.

But we will see

Just depends on what you are looking for. I notice a lot of Android users don't actually customize their phones at all.

Myself on the other hand I've gotten tired of customization. Sure I like something's but sometimes I don't even want to be given any options because I'd constantly mess with them.

For example if I bought a car where everything on the dash could be rearranged at a whim I'd lose my mind! Just get in and drive the damn thing is what I want. My option with Apple is I can chose something else if I care to do so and I'm happy with that.

Agree!... That S4 and the Note 2 seems more attractive everyday.
