If they make the air 3 same clock speeds and ram I will cry
iPhone 5se rumors suggest it will look like a cross between an iPhone 5s and an iPhone 6s, using the iPhone 5s body with the curved display glass of the newer device.
Although I sold my Air 2 because I rarely used it, but this peaks my interest...slightly.
If only Apple would ditch the 16GB option. Doubt it though.
I don't know why you all get your hopes up. They are going to hold something significant back to make the good news all turn blue again.
If you hardly used it before, how will an A9X processor make it more useful to you?
There already is...This is great news... Let's hope they give us a 128GB option!
Always something that they use the A9 instead of the A8.
But i had really hoped that apple would stop this nonsens with having a flagship line in form factor of the 6 and the 6+ and then the 4" with last years tech.
Can we stop hearing about this "5SE" , its boring now .
People getting excited like a 4 inch phone is some radical new idea
Nope

Except the Pro will be faster. Expect the Air 3 to have a 1.8GHz A9X with 2GB DDR4 ram. And no pencil support. If they offer pencil support and they are still weeks out on backorders right now, they will have hell to pay.

Probably not, but you should wait for the keynote to make up your mind. I don't think this update is meant for you. Eventually your 5S will be worn out or just not be good enough, but by then there will be a "6se" or something like that for you that will represent a bigger leap forward (assuming you're set on staying with a 4" screen).I kinda wanna update my 5S but not really sure why I would get the 5SE.
Its faster but should I care when I think the 5S is plenty fast?
Its got NFC but thats no use outside the US and China.
Other than a better camera, faster touch ID and VoLTE support, will the update be meaningful?
Processing speed in a tablet is just a useless spec these days. I got "suckered" into upgrading because I foolishly convinced myself that somehow a faster processor meant a better iPad experience and the speed/experience has remained essentially the same since first gen.
I'm expecting an underclocked A9X, but that's fine. Very happy with this news, can't wait to upgrade my old iPad 3rd gen to this new Air 3!Nope

You don't really think that the Air 3 will have the same internals do you? No way it will have the same RAM or the same clock speeds as the Pro.
It'll be interesting to see whether iPad Air 3 will take any other cues from the Pro *cough* Apple Pencil *Cough*.
Once we know its name, we can call it by its name. Until then, "5se" works as a placeholder, because we know what it means. Changing to a new temporary name for this rumored device at this point would be confusing. Can we stop calling it a 5se? I doubt that will be its name.
Most notable speed improvements can be traced back to the faster flash
